Weaning off pumping - advice?

I've went down from 4 sessions a day to 3 and so now I pump at 9am, 1:30pm and 8pm. How do I go down to 2 sessions and then 1? Should I try and do 10am and 6pm? My supply is definitely slowing down just not sure how quickly I should drop another session.....any advice would be great!

  • Just a curiousity question, why are you stopping? I thought you got the clog cleared? You don't have to answer if you don't want to.

  • I pumped 3-4 times a day for 2 or 3 days and then I went down to pumping 2 times a day for a couple days and so forth. I always gave myself a few days to adjust to not pumping as much. I also took sudafed to help dry up my supply and used cabbage leaves. HTH.

No problem. I got the clogged duct cleared but my supply went from 15 oz. per day down to around 6-8 oz. per day (and that is after taking Reglan) and I am going back to school starting this week so I've decided to stop. I was crying during the clogged duct issue but in the end I guess I'm okay with it.
