Wall decal question...

we rent and I'd like to get a wall decal of my daughters name or monogram to put over her crib. Are the decals easy to remove without ruining the paint on the wall?

We aren't painting the room so it's white. I just don't want to end up taking off the decal and it taking paint with it requiring us to repaint the wall.
