2nd time mom: Horrible to register @ BRU for discounts only?

I don't anticipate all the hoopla from baby #1, and I don't want to give anyone the impression that I do expect that. However, I'd like to register at BRU for all the coupons and discounts that I got with DS. We've stopped even getting their sales flyers b/c he's almost two. I'm thinking I'd do a very small list of things just to get in the system again.

Is this a bad idea? Will it give people the wrong impression?

They'll only get the wrong impression if you tell them about where you're registered. If you register for what you need, there's nothing saying you need to announce that to anyone.

I suppose so. I don't know why I'm really worrying about it. I guess my line of thought was more along the lines of someone stumbling on it, but they'd pretty much have to be looking for it to find it. At that point, I suppose it's their problem and not mine. Thanks!

Not at all. We're likely going to do the same thing, although other than bottles....I don't know what we'll need this time around. I think the discount is a great reason to register. And like the pp said, just don't advertise your registry. In fact, I believe you can even make it private.

I am a first time mom but we are not having any showers. I made a registry at BRU for the exact reasons you are. Also it's a great way to have a list of what you need.

I registered for the discount and also to have a list of the items that we still need to purchase. There isn't much on my registry, but I have found it to be handy as a checklist.
