Twilight names

We have a hard time picking boy names because our last name is so girly. I really like the name Jacob, but I'm a little worried about it's popularity because of Twilight.

But since the movie/book is geared towards tweens, and they aren't (typically) the ones having babies, maybe it won't become even more popular because of the movie?

I think Jacob is a great name. It's been on the top names for awhile though, before Twilight I think.

Jacob has been in the top 20 or even top 10 for a very long time - way before Twilight came out.

LOL. According to social security it was the most popular boys name in 2008. If you care about it being too popular I would pick a back up.

Jacob has been one of the most popular names in the US for a while now. So I wouldn't worry about Twilight. If you like it, go for it.

I think Jacob is already a pretty popular name. I wouldn't worry about it. If you like it, that's what matters! FWIW, I would consider Edward for a future boy ;-P
