AW -My baby has hair!

So we had a ultrasound today to check the size. They are estimating 8 lbs 9 ounces, I'm hoping that's a little high. So we got to see the baby and they pointed out it's hair waving along in there. I guess the old wives tale about heartburn meaning hair is true.

I'm also 80% effaced and wasn't at all last week, which I am so glad for, I've started feeling pressure and I didn't want it to be all for naught

They said at 38 weeks that Abby was "at least 8lb 10oz" and they were worried about her getting "too big". I was a large baby as are most in my family and I figured my body could handle it. She was born 7lb 6oz.

Emily on the other hand, they were probably spot on. They said she was about 6.5lb at 38 weeks. Dr Orth said she would be between 7.5-8lb and I delivered her at 40 weeks at 7lb 13oz

So they can be right. And they can be wrong

Don't worry too much about the size estimate...my "conservative" measurements put DD at 9 lbs and she ended up being a very normal 8-pounder. :-)

Hair is awesome!! I remember being amazed to learn Ali already had hair in-utero. It's a strange, amazing thing to know that there is HAIR inside you!
