More "stuff" = more excited!?!

I hope this doesn't come across as odd, but I just realized that the more "stuff" we get for LO -- cloth diapers, little clothes, a finished nursery -- the more excited I'm getting for him to come out. I've been cruising right along in this pregnancy happy to have him inside and not really in a hurry to get him out until just these last few days. The more ready we get for him "stuff"-wise, the more excited I am to meet him.

Anyone else feeling this way? I suppose it's all part of the nesting urge, huh?

    Totally normal. I remember when the nursery was done for DD I just stood there like "ok...now what?"...LOL. I get excited everytime I buy something for baby boy to be, I can't wait to feel like we have most of the stuff done. DD's living out of her nursery & toddler room now....so it'll be wierd to have one in each room. Can't wait. :-)

    I completely agree and know what you mean. You spend all this time and money and energy preparing for the LO, it'll be sooooooo nice to actually use it! Nesting is crazy! I can't stop cleaning. lol

    Sometimes I go into his nursery and get ridiculously excited and the more things we get, the more excited I get-if that's possible.

    Totally agree! I think for me, it's also that the more stuff we get, the more real it feels. When we just had 4 onesies hidden in a drawer, there wasn't as much reminder as seeing Graco boxes everywhere. :)

    It makes total sense. The more things you stock up on that will be theirs, the more you visualize them being there (ie, in the bed instead of your tummy!).

    This is what I mean... It just seems more real when I look at a drawer full of onesies, or a a shelf full of baby books!

    I'm glad you all didn't take my post as, "I want more stuff" or that I'm only into the "things" that go along with baby.  It's so not about that for us. It's just exciting to look at a little baby blankey and to know that soon there will be a baby in it! Ack!

    Me too!  Me too!  I actually cuddled the aden&anais blankets we got in the mail today.  All the "stuff" just makes the whole thing seem much more real!
