Goats milk??

Does anyone give goats milk, if your lo has an intolerance to cows milk?

Re: Goats milk??

  • dd drinks goats milk b/c it's easier on her.  that's what we weaned to when she stopped nursing.  we get it at a local farm once/week b/c the only kind we can find in our local store (we only have ONE!) is condensed goats milk.

  • Our naturopath told us to sweeten with 100% maple syrup and cut with water.  Do you do this??
  • DS has a cow's milk allergy so they suggested no goat's milk either.  He only does organic rice milk now--which has vitamins added.

I was doing rice milk for C but they told me J was too young for it. Something about the arsenic content too high for the young body so we went to Almond Milk.

I did goats milk for Caroline, then soy but that made her sick, then rice but was told to stop until she was older than 2 so she also does Almond Milk.

  • Our dd has been on goat's milk since 8 mos. old and is doing wonderfully on it. She had intolerances to cow's milk, soy, and hypoallergenic formulas as an infant. She is 14 mos. now and I plan to keep her on it. She loves the taste! We were getting it from a local farm up until recently, we switched her to the Meyenberg brand. We have her on a multi-vitamin just to make sure she doesn't get any deficiencies. Good luck to you!

nope.  maybe that's for the concentrated canned milk?  we just give it to her straight up, she likes it just fine.
