Good quality cribs at discount prices?

I'm looking for a crib (maybe changing table/crib set) thats cherry wood, but I don't want to really spend over $400.

Anyone have good resources? I'd like good quality that can last....I don't NEED to spend $800+ for that do I??

  • Have you tried Ikea? I also saw some good deals on Walmart.com

  • I know what you mean.  I'm going to look at Walmart because 500 for a crib is pricey.  I didn't like the Ikea ones, they looked a little cheap to me.
  • Havent tried wally world, seems like itd be cheap? We want a convertible crib, so we want it to last a few years onward...
  • Well I found some good choices on there for around $200 and they had excellent reviews!
  • Get the Baby Bargains book - it rates cribs at all price points.  They actually like the Walmart ones (also sold at Target) - particularly the Graco Lauren and Sarah.

  • I got the Graco Lauren crib for $169.99 at BRU, and it's got a hint of cherryish color.  You can get the crib and changing table for $200 at Walmart, I think.

  • I second(or third) Walmart! We got ds's crib there and still happy with it 19 months later!! It is a 4 in 1 and very sturdy! We will be buying baby on the way's crib there as well! They do have a really good selection for cherry.
  • We got a hardwood crib at JC Penney for just over $200 plus a matching dresser for about the same amount.  We waited until they had a free shipping to the store deal -- so no shipping cost -- just had to pick up at the store.
