This is my first child, but I am not a worrier by nature about much of anything.
I drink caffeinated soda, and I still eat tuna and lunchmeat when I feel like it. The only things I definitely wouldn't do is drink or smoke, but I didn't do those pre-pregnancy either anyway.
I drink caffeine. Eat raw sushi including tuna, raw oysters, un heated lunchmeat, hotdogs, soft cheese, runny egg yolks, med-rare steak, medium hamburgers. Basicially whatever I want.
This is my first child but I am probably a bit older than the average age first time mom.
Ditto! I love really runny eggs and can't get enough of them right now. I'm also 29, so maybe older than the average first time mom on here. Maybe there's a correlation...

I drink a cup or two of caffeinated coffee every morning, eat my eggs over easy, eat feta and all kinds of soft cheeses, take long hot showers, get regular manis and pedis (something I have seen much debate over), get my hair colored, have a half glass of wine on special occasions (holidays, birthdays, etc), have an occasional diet soda, eat an occasional hot dog, have a deli sandwich from time to time, wear stilettos...and I lift more than 20 lbs on a regular basis. I have a 4.5 year old child who is about 40 lbs and I'm always picking her up and messing around with her when we play. I try to sleep on my left side, but it ends up being whatever side I find that is the most comfortable.
This is my 2nd child, and I'm almost 32, so maybe that puts me a different "comfort level" as some other posters have put it? Not that I think it's "bad" to do things "by the book" or even be overly-cautious...to each their own, ya know?
I've had endometriosis, one ovary removed, and was still on BC pills when I got pregnant. Odds? Beat. God truly has a sense of humor.

That's awesome! I also have endometriosis and husband had testicular cancer. The docs looked at us and said "Uh...yeah, sure, you can try to conceive naturally". 2 Months after his chemo ended we were pregnant. No charting, no nothing since I didn't think it could happen! Take that doctors
Answer to original post: I eat tons of hotdogs (weird, because I didn't like them pre-pregnancy), drink either hot tea or coffee every day, generally followed by a coke later in the day. And I eat runny eggs all the time when DH isn't around to stop me And I put feta on stuff all the time. Everything in moderation.
Eat what I want, including lunchmeat, hotdogs and caffeine. I do limit myself to either 1 coffee and 1 pop per day, or 2 cups of coffee. Not trying to overload on the caffeine. I sleep however I am most comfortable. I try to sleep on my left side but I always end up on my back. I stay there. I drink red wine - very seldom but I am ok with having a very small amount here and there. I had a very small amount at Christmas (about 3 ounces) and will have another soon if I choose.
I eat and drink what I want which includes soft cheese and caffeine in moderation. I pick up my 27 pound toddler when she wants to be picked up. I also sleep on my stomach and back. That's all I can think of at this point!
this is my favorite thread ever. So glad I'm not the only moderation girl here. I don't even understand the deli meat thing - so I'm eating it. I did the math and you can have almost 4 cans of diet coke a day and stay under the 200 mg recommendation....so I have a couple.
Today I'm asking my midwife why I can't take Advil and making a decision about whether I'm going to take the risk anyway - my joints hurt so bad and Tylenol does nothing.

This is me, except I was sleeping on my stomach up until last night... I realized I can't anymore when I had the worst night of sleep ever.
My Chart
