Did you have a diaper cake? If so do you have a picture you would want to share??? I am going to start "attempting" a diaper cake for a friend (not creative at all) and would love to see what other ladies diaper cakes had on them and how they turned out at thier showers.
TIA
Re: Ladies that have had thier showers....
My shower was two days ago - I did not have a diaper cake but I think they are so cute.
This was mine. I really liked that it was in a basket that I could reuse after. They had rubberbands securing the diapers and had them hoisted up on two round plastic tupperware things underneath. They tied 2 pacifiers to some ribbon on it and also had little bows attached to it as well that my little girl could wear in her hair. They worked my burp cloths and wash clothes that I was registered for into it. I really liked it!
I LOVE the basket idea...that is great and so practical for later too! Thanks for sharing!!!
My mom made mine:
My MIL made it. She rolled each diaper and put a rubber band around each one. The ribbons around each layer hid the rubber bands.
I loved it! They said it was much easier too-you didn't have to worry about it falling apart as much. I use the basket now for all her towels and washcloths. Have them rolled up in it and it sits on the bathroom counter!
This was mine:
Yes, I had one. My mom made it and it was fabulous!
That is the biggest diaper cake i've ever SEEN! It's gorgeous!
Thank you! Here are two that I've made for other people:
And this is the BEST ONE i've ever done. I'm so in love with it.
OMG! I love all of these!! I hope I get one at mine!!
My family is doing a very small celebration for my nephew and his wife this Sunday b/c they are expecting twins 2 weeks ahead of my due date. They already have a son so there is no formal shower but I'm thinking I might attempt to make one of these on Saturday for them! What a fun idea!
I just made one for a coworker for our work shower, and one for my own shower coming up. I do not like the rolled diaper cakes personally. I found directions by looking up videos on youtube, How to make a professional diaper cake.
*sorry if the pictures don't work, I've never posted pictures on here!
You won't even have disposables while you're traveling or for long road trips/excursions?
My SIL made mini diaper cakes, using 6 or 7 diapers for each one, she rubber-banded each one, then tied ribbon around the middle and used rattles or teethers etc in the middle, She curled some ribbon on them to look festive and they were really cute!
You should be able to find a couple of websites with directions.
