DD won't even attempt to crawl!!

in Babies: 9 - 12 Months

We do tummy time everyday and she'll hold her body weight with her arms but she just cries! What's the deal? Anyone else experience this? Any advice to get her moving?

 sidenote: She loves standing and "walking" with our help. One foot in front of the other... maybe she wants to skip crawling??

    Baby D isn't the least bit interested in crawling either.  She doesn't cry during tummy time, but she just hangs out and looks at us like "uh-huh.  And now what?"

    Relax, your DD is only 6 months!!!  A lot of babies don't crawl until closer to one year.  Your LO will crawl when she's good and ready, maybe she'll even walk first.  Don't worry about it.

    DD is the same way. She pushes herself up and also does this Pilates looking thing where she lifts her arms and legs at the same time but has no interest in going to all fours. She get tired of being on her belly quickly and either rolls to her back or cries. I asked her doc yesterday and she said 9 months is "normal" for crawling.

    DS didn't crawl until 9.5 months.  They have plenty of time.  Don't wish that they would grow up so fast!  Plus, once they're crawling you never get to sit down again.

    This is us.  I wouldn't worry.  According to my mom, I started crawling at 9 mo., and two weeks later I was cruising.  Some kids just aren't into it.

    Don't worry.... DS had ZERO interest in crawling. He didn't even look like he cared... at all... and then one day he just started crawling. It was crazy. Out of nowhere. He had totally mastered it in a matter of 2 days. We were shocked!

    He did the same thing with walking. Showed zero interest in taking any steps at all.... and then just decided to start walking one day!

    lol. i don't wish that she grows up... i was under the impression that its common for her to be crawling by now. Guess i was wrong! ha! the miracle a la Bump!
