So, at J's preschool there are 2 freakin' adorable little boys who are brothers, Declan and Brogan. I always assumed they were fraternal twins.. they look an awful lot alike but not identical... pretty close in size... definitely seem to be the same age...
Well, today I chatted with their mama some about kindergarten (since Jack and her boys will all be starting together next year).
Turns out those boys are "irish twins" not fraternal twins.
Born early November 2004 (Declan) and late September 2005 (Brogan). Since D's birthday misses the kindergarten cutoff and B's is just before they are totally starting kindergarten together and are going to be in the same grade all through school.
LOL... doesn't that sound like fun She only got like an 8 week break between pregnancies... BUT even more interesting...
She told me she had no clue she was pregnant till was like 20 weeks with B. She never had a pp AF, she's a heavier girl, she had an anterior placenta, and she was breastfeeding. Her OB dropped the bomb on her at her annual exam. They had a pee test come back positive so she thought "oh cool, I'm newly pregnant! yay for babies!" LOL... then during her pelvic the doc was like "holy shiz your ute is HUGE". 15 minutes and 1 ultrasound later she found out she was 20 weeks with another boy.
Can you imagine?!?!?!?
Good thing she loves being a mom! (she's had 2 more, on purpose, since then. both boys as well

Re: lol.. real life "I didn't know I was pregnant" and *irish twins*
No, I can't imagine!!
Although, I have to admit, while reading this, the first thought that crossed my mind was...I hope that when I show up for my next annual that I'm 20 weeks pregnant and didn't have a clue.
I hear that. I wouldn't mind a bit either
That is a crazy story! I would probably die! I had a dream last night that I got pregnant in September and just found out about it. I felt so weird when I woke up!
And 4 boys! That's a house full of testosterone!
Holy _shit, what's that like?
I am not jealous of the all boy situation though:) hehehe
