Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Where does your little one sleep?

Ours is still in the pack and play in our room.  We planned to move her to her own crib in her own room tonight, but chickened out when it got to bed time.  I know its time, and I know she'll be fine, but it's hard to think about her in her own room all by herself.  Mind you, it's about 10 feet from where she sleeps now...

if you LO is in his/her own room, when did you start this?

Re: Where does your little one sleep?

  • I plan on keeping LO in our room in the PNP for a few more weeks.

  • Our LO is in the PNP next to the bed.  We'll move him to his own room when we start keeping each other awake... I know that sounds weird... but I don't mean him waking me up to eat.  I mean, my movement waking him up, or his normal sleep sounds keeping me up.

  • Same as you - in our room and we chickened out last night when we planned to move her into her room. I don't want to but I know it's time. Half the time she sleeps in our bed.
  • My guy is in a bassinet by my bed. I'm not ready for him to be in his own bed yet.
  • My LO has been in her room since 2 weeks. She was such a noisy sleeper, DH and I couldn't get any sleep with her in our room. She slept in the swing until this past weekend. Now she is in the crib and doing great.
  • My LO has been in his crib in his own room since the night we brought him home from the hospital.  That's what works for us, but you have to do what works for you!  Good luck!
  • bassinet during night in our room. Naps were anywhere sometime couch, bouncy seat or even the floor, but the past couple of days I have tried to make naps only in the crib. It seems to work well and she takes better naps

  • Our LO is in a co-sleeper next to our bed. We plan to move him to his room around 2 or 3 months.

  • I cosleep in the bed for now maybe in a week or two ill move her to the cosleeper bedside bassinet i got then around 4-6 months ill get her in the crib.
  • He's in the co-sleeper next to our bed.  I LOVE waking up and looking at him in the morning w/o ever having to move from my bed.  We'll move him to his crib when he's too big for the co-sleeper....then I'm going to find a co-sleeper for me to attach to his crib so I can sleep next to him!!  ha ha

  • DS has been in his crib from day one.

  • In an arm's reach co-sleeper. Or in our bed. No immediate plans to move her.

  • DS sleeps in his crib in his room.  We started him in the PNP in our room, but he makes lots of little squeaks and cries in his sleep and it put me on edge.  At about 2 weeks, we started putting him in his crib.  I like having him in his own room because I only hear the big noises and he's just down the hall, so it's easy to go get him for night feedings.
  • DS sleeps in our bed. He slept in his bassinet for about a week and then I moved him into our bed. I don't know when I will be ready for him to move to his crib. I tried to put him in his bassinet again last night while he was sleeping and I ended up crying and moving him back into our bed.

  • We co-sleep and let her nap in her crib.  Her room is also close to ours.  I do not think we will let her sleep in her crib overnight until she is sleeping through the night on her own.
  • She sleeps in the PNP by our bed. Her room is all the way across the house and upstairs and I cannot stand thinking about her being up there all alone.

  • We also have DD in her pnp in our bedroom. I'm not sure when we will move her to her crib in her own room.
  • In her crib in her room since 8 weeks
  • This.  Probably in a few weeks...
  • We moved LO to sleeping in his crib at 6 weeks. He slept just as well in there as he did in his PNP at the foot of our bed. To give him some consistency we always use his seahorse. We used it in the PNP and we use it when we go OOT so he always has something familiar. We also use the Angelcare monitor so I have peace of mind not being in the room with him. We personally wanted to try and maintain some space that is still 'ours' and we want that to be our bedroom. I have heard some horror stories about trying to move the kids later (like 9 months) but every kid is different and some transition fine at a later age. Do what you are comfortable with.
  • DS sleeps in our bed. Sometimes he'll sleep in the arms reach co-sleeper hooked to our bed, but we all seem to sleep best when he's in our bed. When he's six months old we will start thinking about moving him to his crib, atleast thats the plan for now! Who knows what will happen...we also never planned to have him in bed with us and now look! haha.
