Temps during AF tend to be wacky for most everyone, hormone levels are changing, we might not sleep as well cause we're uncomfortable, etc.
allergy medicines can definitely dry you up..everywhere! Is your allergy medicine ok to take while pg too, have you asked the dr.? If not I would also stop taking it while TTC.

I haven't posted an intro yet, but since you offered... (long)
I'm so frustrated with FF! This is only cyle #2 off BCP so I know my cycles will be crazy for a bit, but knowing that doesn't make it any less frustrating. My first cycle was 37 days long and I O'd on CD 25. I had symptoms that went with it (O cramps for almost a week, sore nipples). I decided to try OPKs this cycle so I bought some but haven't started using them yet. I figured I would start using them on CD 16, just in case I O a little earlier this month. Well, today FF gave me CHs and says I O'd on CD 10! No symptoms like last month.
So the question is, should I start using the OPKs just in case FF is wrong and I haven't O'd yet? They're so expensive I'd hate to waste them if FF is right...
Yes, allergy medication can dry up your CM, and in turn cause you not to have EWCM.

I have asked the Dr about taking it while TTC and she said it was fine, but I hardly ever notice a change in CM and I was thinking it had to do with that. I think I will stop it. thanks!
What do you consider CD-1 for your first cycle of charting? Is it the morning after you see first day of red flow as CD-1 or do you consider the first day of red flow CD-1 and then the following day/first day you temp, CD-2?
(Or option C, start temping now so that when my period comes, I will have already started temping and it wouldn't matter?)
First off, welcome to the board!
Second- If you plan of using a lot of OPK's, you shuld think about getting them online from a site like early-pregnancy-tests.com. They are much cheaper!
There have been 2 cycles where I have ovulated as early as CD 11, so I generally start taking them on CD 10, until after I confirm ovulation!

OK, I have a question. I stopped taking BCPs in December 2008 after about 12 years. The first month my cycle was about 36 days which was OK. Then for the rest of the year, I averaged about 32 days. (I wasn't ever exact but right about there.) Well, as soon as I really started paying attention (not charting yet though) and DH and I started "trying", the first month AF came on day 43 and this month it was at 41. We haven't been "trying" for that long, but we weren't NOT trying either. We stopped using condoms last September, but I wasn't trying to figure out when I was ovulating until November. I went the whole month without AF. I can't figure out why after a year of right around 32 days went to 42 when we really started having unprotected sex. Any thoughts?
(I think I am going to win the "dumbest question" award with this one.)
CD 1 is the first day of red flow.
You can start charting now to get the hang of it, but a new chart ( for a new cycle) will automatically start when you mark your period.

Are my high temps weird? It seems like every chart I see has temps in the 96s and low 97s and DPO temps in the high 97s and mine have never dipped below 97. I'm always freezing - almost never warm, but I've always been curious if it's abnormal.
Also, anyone else have the spotting issues that I've had? Before I started charting on FF, I charted my cycles on paper and had brown spotting at least six or seven days/month when not menstruating. My doc says it's normal for some people (though, extremely annoying).

This is certainly not a dumb question! A lot of things can make your cycle longer. If you have been stressed out, or sick, etc if can delay ovulation which in turn delays the arrival of AF. I dont think it had anything to do with having unprotected sex, but I could be missing something.
Your cycle length can vary from month to month. In 10 cycles trying, I had 2 freak 56 and 52 day cycles. Some have been 28, and others have been 32-35. As long as you keep track of your ovulation (or lack thereof in some cases) you'll have information for the dr should that time arrive!

I believe each person is different on what their core body temp would be. I would not be concerned about that.
Spotting, most doctors say it's not much of an issue. But it you have spotting and a short LP it could mean you don't have good lining or an LP issue. If you doctor is not concerned, I wouldn't be.

Thank you. That cleared that up for me. I read that depending on what time of day AF it would could push CD-1 into the next day (for example with my CBEFM, it allow only testing windows so if AF came at 7 pm, unless I planned to test between 4 pm and 10 pm, I would have to make CD-1 the next day in order to test in the morning) I was wondering if it worked that way for BBT testing too. Your answer helped me out.
Yeah! Feel free to chime in anytime Blue! You are a wealth of knowledge!

this is my 1st month charting and i am so lost...
FF gave me some CH but they keep changing and what's the deal with the big dip yesterday?

First - thanks!
Second - I bought them on a whim. And sprung for the CBE digital ones. This will be the only month I use them because if it doesn't happen this month we're taking a forced break - DH got recalled to the Army and is deploying.
Another question - FF only gave me one link for the ticker and it seems it's not working.. What am I doing wrong?
How long have you been off BC?
I ask because when I first came off (and I have NO idea if its related) My temps were high. I never went below 97- for like...3 cycles.
Im sure that much spotting is incredibly annoying!

hi! thanks for the flame free...wouldn't have posted this crazy Q otherwise!
Do you agree with FF on my O date? I feel like I always have EWCM around O time, and didn't have any watery or EWCM around CD 26. I think I Od on CD 22 or 23, but I'm new at all this and am not great at interpreting my chart.
If it was CD 26, I'm not sure our timing was very good...we had sex on CD 24 and not again til CD 28!
TIA...
Woah that was a big dip. it could be a fluke, but it looks like it came back up.
Were your CH's dotted when they were moving?

Hoping anyone that has experience with PCOS would be able to help:
If you were diagnosed before you started TTC, did you just start charting or have you gone straight to your OB/RE? I was diagnosed with PCOS last year and since we weren't TTC, my OB just briefly mentioned that when I want to get pg, she would put me on Clomid. Just wondering if I already know there is an issue, should I waste time by charting before getting "help"?
they have been solid... started at cd 13, went to cd 11 and today are back to cd 13. i'm confused

Looking at your chart is like riding a roller coaster, woah. I would wait a few days to see if your CHs move, Who knows for sure because they are dotted. That means that FF isn't sure on the date your O'd whether your CM, or a OPK or CP did not match up to the temp spike.
It looks like you have had a couple other "peak" temps but they fall right back down. You have a couple of seperate positive OPKS. I would just keep having sex JIC.

I worried about this too at first since mine are extreamly light, I thought the ute didn't get enough lining to sustain a PG or implantation but I've been told by several gals on here that have discussed it with their OB's that it's fine. We should just count ourselves lucky for the shorter AF's.

Just a coincidence!
Hmmm... depending on how your temps go, who knows it might move again. I think it moved because of your temp dip after the CD11. It looks like you had fertile CM in those few days so it stayed a solid line.
I hope it doesn't move again, GL.

Even if you are off BCP and it is after CD60, i would check with a doctor. If you want to wait it out until DPO18, that would be fine since you have CHs now. But if they keep moving or disappearing and it's after CD60, i would call.

What cycle post BC are you....when I came off I had a 39 cycle, a 63 cycle, then a 32 cycle....it could just take a while to regulate...hang in there - but talking to the DR wouldn't hurt
