Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Is there any side-by-side strollers that compare to the double BOB?

I am trying to find a double stroller.

It will mostly be used for walks around the neighberhood, to the park, zoo, camping....not really shopping, malls, etc.  For a newborn and 2 yr old.

I really want DS1 to be able to see...not be stuck in some bottom bunk seat like the phil and ted type tandem strollers.  So this is why I think side-by-side would be better for us.  But they are so wide.

I really like the smooth ride of our current BOB and that makes me think the more "all-terrain" type would be best...especially since we don't always have sidewalks to drive on.

One main reason of walking is for me to get some kind of workout in.....so I don't think a sit n stand would work for us because DS would always want to get off and wouldn't be able to stand for for long enough on there.

Any advice or any ideas of which stroller might work best for us?

And, if you have the BOB Duallie....do you like it?  Is it sturdy enough?  I have heard that they tip easy?

  • I see mothers around here pushing Bumbleride Indie Twins, Mountain Buggy Urban Doubles, BOB Duallies, and Valco Doubles.

They all seem to be able to handle bumpy sidewalks, snow, etc.

  • Loading the player...
  • I have the MacLaren Techno Twin.  It is more umbrella-like.  I love it for my 2 boys.  It has a full recline so you can use it for an infant (no carseat adapter)  It is narrow, light weight and easy to manuever.    Runs about $350
