Struggling to find a carseat and jogger stroller that are compatible

I really like the Chicco KeyFit30 car seat and the Baby Jogger City Mini but the stroller doesnt have an attachment for the Chicco yet.  On their website it says they are currently expecting to have an attachment in Spring 2010 for the Chicco.  I'm debating on whether to go ahead and get both and chance it, or get a different car seat or stroller.  Does anyone have a suggestion on if I should get a different car seat, stroller, or just chance it?

 Thanks!

By the way, how do you get your ticker on your post??  Thanks for your help!!!

  • I don't know the answer to your question, but I found this interesting:

    Q. Can I use the City Series line to run with?
    A. The City Series line of strollers is not intended for jogging purposes. The City Series is a line of all-terrain strollers that give you optimum versatility for every day use.

It looks like it is not really a jogger.  If that matters to you at all.

  • Most of the true joggers probably are not carseat compatible since you are not supposed to jog with the baby till they have good head control at like 6 months, which is when they outgrow the infant seat.

The City Mini is not actually intended for jogging.

  • The bumbleride indie and indie all terrain are good for rough terrain and light jogging and are compatible with the chicco carseats.

  • we LOVE our city mini.  I say get that and change the car seat to the graco snugride.  The grace adapter works great.  You will use the stroller much more than the car seat - DD is in her big girl car seat now, but we still use the stroller.  BUT, the city mini is not a reall jogger (as in for jogging) stroller you know.

  • The Bob is compatible with both Graco and Chico carseats. As far as jogging stroller, I think Bob takes the cake.

I love Baby Jogger strollers too, and if we didn't want a jogger I'd consider getting one.

  • Is there a store near you that carry the stroller and car seat?  If so try the car seat in the stroller anyways.  I have a phil and teds and when I got it the Chicco was not on the list for car seats but I can still use a chicco with it.  It does not click in but its stable and fits.

  • Me and DH really like the Tike Tech Jogging Stroller and it is compatible with like 5 different car seats.

  • We're doing a BOB stroller and a Graco Snugride 32.
  • PS - you have to buy the infant car seat adapter kit for the BOB.
  • Out of curiosity, what color Bob + what design Snugride 32 combo are you getting? I'm having trouble deciding btwn the Mesa Orange and the Chocolate & Brown, and also which Snugride 32 design.

I love the orange, I wish it came in the 12" AW though!!  I'm getting black in the 12" AW Bob Stroller because I like the smaller wheels.  For the stroller, I'm getting Lemongrass.
