Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Has anyone tried Beech Nut baby food?

Sam's has it, 18 jars for $7.76.  They come in both fruits and veggies.  I'm not sure if I should get them- by no means am I a Gerber only mom, but I've never seen this brand in Target or Walmart or BRU...

Re: Has anyone tried Beech Nut baby food?

  • I've bought it.  I plan to/do make my own baby food, but I wanted an idea of what combinations there were and what he liked.  Beech Nut has no added sugar, so it was ok in my books.

  • It's a very popular brand.  I've seen it several places, including Walmart, Target, and Kroger.
  • I buy Beech Nut sometimes.  They have some blends that Gerber doesn't.  LO likes them.
  • I love their oatmeal flakes

  • I see it in almost every store around here, we use some of the ones that Gerber doesn?t offer but they do.

    Seriously?  I've never seen it.

Sounds like it's a pretty good deal then.  Next time we go we're going to stock up.

  • Our Kroger sells them and we have bought them often.  Like PP said, they have some combinations that Gerber doesn't and there are some things that C likes better than Gerber.

  • that's the kind we get when we buy. You can go to their website and request coupons (for when you don't buy at Sam's) that are really good.

  • I used it.  The bananas & the peas are really good.  Just read the labels and know what your buying, like all baby food.  Some is just "banana" and some has other stuff in it.  Even the organics have some combos I would not buy, like with a lot of rice filler.  Neither of my kids where huge baby food consumers.
  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE beech nut more than any other brand.  We buy any brand Gerber, beech nut, nature valley...whatever is on sale.  I love there flavors and the fact that my local grocery store usually has it on sale 10 stage 2 jars for $4.00.
