how many of you guys did the legs in the air trick to get your bfp?

so, how many of you while ttc did the legs in the air trick? i laughed at the idea and kind of poked fun at it but then when we did decide to start trying i ended up doing it. we got bfp the first month and i am just curious if it really helped or not so when we decide to start trying for the next lo.

  • DH still teases me to this day that I did this.  I also got my BFP after the 1st month of really trying.  I'm not sure if it helped, but it can't hurt!

  • The only thing it will help you get is a UTI.

The sperm are where they need to go before you even put your legs up.

  • I did this the day I was 'scheduled' to ovulate and I put a pillow under my butt.  Guess it worked because that was the only day we tried before finding out we were pregnant!

  • LOL, no.  In fact, both times I got pregnant, I went to the bathroom pretty much right away.
  • I'd maybe stay laying down long enough for DH to go to the restroom first but no longer. No legs in the air though.
  • I did this but I only put my legs up for a little and then I just slid a pillow under my butt/hips for about 30-45 minutes after. We did get a bfp the first month we ttc so I don't think it hurt.

  • I did. I'm pregnant so it might of worked. lol
  • :raises hand:  Sort of... DH actually was the one who demanded I spend time with a pillow underneath my pelvis!  LOL
  • we tried hard (never had problems ttc) but we set a timeline and damnit, i wanted to get pregnant. i did the legs in the air, i did the stay laying down/no peeing for at least 5 mins, every think you could think of!

well, i guess we tried too hard. we were surprised to find out after one month of trying that we were pg! YAY! he made me wait to tell people until after OB appt. OB did urine test and said yes...

like i said, we must have tried too hard b/c ha ha we are BLESSED with TWINS! so maybe (in my case) fertile + TTC (hard) = twins ha ha  j/k

  • Nope, and I got pregnant the first month trying.  I don't think putting your legs in the air has anything to do with it.  The sperms are in there in less than a minute! They are quick little buggers! LOL

Yeah this. No I did not put my legs up in the air, and I ::gasp:: used the restroom after each "session" right away. And we got pregnant our first month trying. I HIGHLY suggest getting the book Take Charge of Your Fertility, and learning to chart your cycle. It will help you enormously to understand what is going on with your body.

    This.

  • 1st pg, I think I may have lifted my butt a time or two, but not my legs. 2nd pg... tried almost everything elevation wise, but didn't have any success (for 5 months) until the time I just got up right after and peed. So, for me, I guess it MAY have worked the first time, but I don't know for sure, since I didn't do it every time.

  • I got pregnant on the fourth month and that was the first time that I didn't jump up to go to the bathroom immediately... just stayed in bed for a few minutes with my hips elevated by a pillow.  Could be a coincidence?

We did that when I was ovulating, lol.  However, this time I didn't do that when I got pregnant (first time I did).  I actually wasn't in the mood at all and my husband talked me into it since I had pretty much perfect CF.  We had a quickie, I peed,  made a cheesecake for work the next day, and there ya go...I was pregnant.

LOL it was definitely the cheesecake! Storks looove cheesecake Wink

This for me too. Went to the bathroom right away & we weren't trying - we just figured it would happen when it was going to happen - just didn't expect it to happen so soon.
