Cleaning Supplies...

I went to an OB for my first check up the other day and asked him if there was anything I needed to stay away from as far as cleaning. Well, he told me no go about life like normal and do everything the same. I don't know if I trust that at all and am even thinking about finding a new OB, because of it. Have any of you came across this same thing? What do you ladies think I should do?

  • I think that as long as you aren't bathing in Windex or drinking Clorox, you are probably just fine. Buy some gloves, wash your hands and if you really want (what I did) buy Organic cleaners.

No, I was just curious, because I tend to use a lot of bleach around the house, but read that was bad for me and he said it was ok. I also asked him about the cat's litter box, because I heard that was bad and to have DH clean it, but he said that was fine too. I just wanted to make sure it was ok. Sorry, I probably should have specified more in my question.

  • I agree if you are concerned, use some of the Organic cleaners. They work great and smell WAY better than bleach. And as your nose goes into overdrive that bleach smell may start to drive you crazy.

As for the cat, it is very doc dependent what they say, mines said no but I have friends who's said no problem too. If your cat is always inside and has never been outside, the risk is MUCH smaller. But again if you are concerned have your DH do it anyway. (Just because your OB says its fine, doesn't mean you can't do it anyway)
