Question about vitamin supplements?

What vitamin do you bfing mamas give your LO's?

We were using the Enfamil tri-visol and he loved it. Last night I gave him a new bottle of the Enfamil poly-visol with iron (which is what he's supposed to have) and he not only spit it out but he went into a 20 minute screaming fit. I can only presume it's because he didn't like the taste.

Have you had this problem with your LO's? I was giving it to him via the dropper. I thought about putting the new one in cereal but if he had such a strong reaction, I'm not sure I want to give it to him again. What vitamins do you give your LO's?

    we do the poly-vi-sol.  The first time I tried to give it to her, she hated the taste & spit it up.  Since then I just mix it in her bottle once a day and she's fine with it.

    Tri-vi-sol. The poly has dye, and smells awful.

    DS#1 use a prescription one with Iron and flouride and he takes it very well.  DS#2 takes the pharmacy brand vitamins without iron and doesn't have any problems either.  Maybe try a generic brand as I found the enfamil ones to be very strong in smell so I am sure tthe taste is too.

    Have you tasted the poly?  They're truly disgusting.  They smell awful on DD"s breath for a long time too.  I bought a bottle of the poly, and ended up throwing them out.  We use Tri now.  Which smells and tastes much better!

    Why are you supposed to use the Poly?  Can you look for another source of iron?  (like cereal -- didn't look to see how old your LO is)

    I actually didn't taste it. I tasted the other the tri and it was actually quite good. I guess that's why DS liked it!!!!

    I think we're just going to throw out the poly. It left a nasty residue on my fingers and on DS's face. Our pedi prescribed vitamins with iron. If we can use the tri then I will. DS liked it and it was fine with me.
