OMG. OMGOMGomg.
Here's the thing, I get how painful - how extraordinarily painful - it is to lose babies and have none earthside.
But imagine this scenario:
Your seven year old daughter who is smart as a whip figures out something's different on Monday (her day off) and that Mom & Dad are going to "an appointment" together. She says quietly that she knows "it's about the baby in mommy's tummy." Afterwards she asks how the baby is and you tell her that you saw it, you saw it's heart beating, and you still weren't sure if it was OK.
So knowing that you were going to the doctor today, she arrives home from school this afternoon, grinning, and asking "Mommy, how's that baby."
Now imagine the agony in her voice when she asks "Is it already dead" while weeping.
FVCK.
Life sucks right now. It sucks so bad. OMG.

Don't have much choice, but I've got to. I sent an e-mail to DH to come home.

I am really, truly, unbelievably sorry.
When Matthew died, Kaitlyn was a month shy of 3 years old. She was there when the ambulance and police were there, she was home when I went with them to the hospital, sh eknew something was wrong. And it still took me 2 full days to tel her he passed away.
Telling her about the first loss was gut wrenching. Having a 5 year old understand how UNFAIR the world is and how all of her cousin's and friend's babies lived and hers didn't breaks my heart.
It's not fair that our children have to lose their innocence.
I hate it.

This Momma's Journey
~Today I am pregnant and I love my baby~
Little Grrr has recovered. She's covered my face in glitter, asked to bake cookies, and said nothing since our crying fest ended.
She did ask if we were going to keep trying, saying that we should know that she's really sorry that I lost a baby and she really hopes that this won't change our mind about the family and having more babies.
She did, however, announce our news to both mommies in carpool. Both gave me knowing looks today. Fvck.

Wow, she sounds amazing. A 7-year-old who has more empathy and tact that most of the adults we get comments from regarding our losses.
