We had some gift cards to West Elm/Pottery Barn so I ordered a new duvet for our bedroom. It came yesterday and I could not be more disappointed. It literally looks like someone took 2 faded flat sheets and sewed them together. Seriously PB??? For $160 (in gift cards for us) that's the best you can do???? Then to make it even better, it was $21 to ship and came in a plastic bag. For $21, you can at least throw it in a flipping box.
This is failed attempt at finding a comforter/duvet for our bedroom #4. I'm so burned out on trying to find bedding for our room.
I've ordered duvets from PB before and was really happy with the quality...that's why I'm really disappointed in this one. So now I have to return it and I'm stuck with $160 in gift cards that I'm not going to use. I sure hope I can sell them so I can get us some bedding somewhere else. ![]()

Re: Vent about Pottery Barn bedding
that sucks:(
have you tried looking at marshalls or tj maxx? i love their bedding stuff. i've found some very nice and neutral ralph lauren bedding from there. the duvet retailed for over $400, i got it for $80.
I agree!
I bought 2 duvet covers for my son's bunk bed - khaki colored, with a cargo look to it.... how disappointing!
They slip and slide all over the place and will not hold the duvet in one place, no matter how hard I tie the strings. They are a pain in the @ss to get on and off because they are so light and flimsy (like you said - two sheets sewn together!).
I was very disappointed.
As much as I love nearly all things PB, I do NOT like their bedding. Do you have an Ikea near you? We've been looking everywhere for bedding and found something we both liked at Ikea. We got the comforter, duvet cover, and a ton of accessories all for under $150.
I'm sure you'd have no trouble spending the gift cards on PBK goods for the new baby, though! (You can use PB gift cards at PBK.)
(read it. you know you want to.)
