foodie help: velveeta mac'n'cheese?

anyone have a recipe they love?  i found some online but they seem like a lot of steps.  seems like i could just melt the velveeta in milk and S&P and add to the cooked noodles but i guess not?  is there something wrong with doing it this way?

and i'm going to add broccoli and chicken then bake it-should i cook the broccoli first?

  • "foodie" and velveeta are not two things I think of as going together :p

  • I've always just made it from the box. I can't help you there. As far as broccoli, I would probably cook it first. But thats just me.

  • That's how I make mine.  I would cook the noodles, broccoli and chicken first though, then add all ingredients and bake until cheese is melted.

Took the words out of my mouth! Velveeta=/=foodie.

If you want a really good mac and cheese recipe, use one that calls for real cheese.  Several cheeses, in fact. Like this one.

  • If you're looking for a super easy mac 'n' cheese recipe that doesn't use processed cheese, try this one:

It's delicious and so easy you don't even have to cook the macaroni first!
