That feels that they don't know the half of the people on TTCAL anymore...??? There seems to have been an influx of new people (welcome!) and a bunch of BFP (we love you and wish you sticky babies!) and I feel like I hardly recognize half the people anymore. I wouldn't know a goat if it snacked me over the head.
So.....
Hi! I am Elizabeth. I lost my daughter on 8/14/09 from Amniotic Band Syndrome. She is now in heaven with my Grandpa. My DH is Russell - we have been married since last May. I have two dogs (boxers) and an empty ute.. although, I am trying to persuade DH to fix that. I don't have trouble conceiving... but, I do have trouble w/ my body attacking my baby.
Your turn.
Re: Am I the only one?
Ready? Go!
Lol... You are so funny!
Same here. I went on a break for a few weeks and everyone went and got KTFU. I'm trying to get acquainted with the new faces.
Hi, I'm Mary and I've been here 10 months minus a shortlived stay on PgAL back in July. Two missed m/c (see TTC history in blog - link in siggy). I'm 29, DH is 30 - we've been married 6 years.
Oh, and I call "sprinkles" jimmies and "drinking fountains" bubblers.
I "know" you from the loss board. I can't hang out over here too often because then I get too involved with TTC. The wait has taken its toll on me.
I had two MCs one August 1st and one October 16th. We are hoping to get KTFU and actually hold our first born in our arms before the end of 2010... Sucks to feel like I am on such a frantic timeline but it is how I deal. I had to go see a couselor because I needed to grieve but felt totally guilty for grieving something that was so tiny and non existant to most people.
My DH is Jesse and we also have two dogs, boxers as well... I am very involved in rescue work so for the time being I spent free time at the kennel.
<clears throat>
Ahem - Ok. My name is Kelin (pronounced like Helen but with a K) and I love long walks on the beach, pina coladas and my little pomeranian. I enjoy reading and unusual sexual positions. My favorite color is purple. I live in Idaho, the spud state although our biggest crop is the sugar beet.
My DH Kevin and I (yes... we are Kevin and Kelin... altogether now... AHHHHHHHH) have been TTC for 2 years. I have semi-blocked tubes and he has some funky shaped sperm once in awhile. Together we = IVF. So right now we are saving up some $$ and I am trying to loose a little weight and we will probably do IVF the end of this summer (August-ish).
Oh, did I mention I like pina coladas?
Me, me!!! I was away for 5 days over Christmas and this last weekend and now I keep seeing new faces!!
I'm Kerry, I had a missed miscarriage in September and since then...nothing!! I have a cat and a puppy (she's in my siggy). I think I am becoming bitter about this TTC business and my body appears to have been messed up by the miscarriage!! If you think Mary speaks funny....you should hear me in real life! I grew up in England, South Africa and Australia before moving to the US, so I use all sorts of funny words!!!
Oh, did I mention that I love you?
and getting caught in the rain?
I hate posting after Kelin because I'm not nearly as witty.
My name is Kellie and I have old, crusty ovaries. Some of them need a wheelchair to make it to my ute. Dh and I have been TTC for over a year and had one m/c in May. I have unexplained infertility....DH's sperm wear capes.
I just had my 3rd IUI last week and had jabbed myself with needles everyday prior to that. It was fun, felt like a junkie, have the bruises to prove it.
C'mere and give me a big ol' kiss
Bubbler is one of my most favorite words!! I know where you are from in the fantastic cold midwest Peetie!
I'm Amanda. I had a missed mc found at 16 weeks in July. DH and I are both 31. He was my prom date-though we didn't start dating until we were 21. We live in Chicago with our super cool lab who is 4.
Okee dokee... Me newbie
Hi, I'm Heather, 33 yo; DH is Craig, 47 yo; married for 2.5 years; dog is Ginger, 2 yo; and I now have an empty ute that is available for occupancy as soon as the damn inspector (my dr) clears it.
Qualifications for TTCAL are: lost daughter at 28 weeks (no HB) - COD is pending autopsy results; super anxious to ttc; I'm wickedly sarcastic (sometimes its only funny to me though); oh and I LOVE to drink (although currently not drinking for 13 more days in order to lose weight).
I feel I would make a good TTCALer because a fabulous ttcaler taught me how to PIP (thanks again). Please see example of my newfound skill below, and sarcasm examples are displayed throughout this post. I look forward to this opportunity. References will be provided upon request.
Here's the link to the full story of my loss, if you'd prefer the serious, non-sarcastic one...

My name is Jonell and I've been here since my miscarriage on Aug. 23rd. We got pregnant our first month trying, but ever since then, nothing. It has only been three cycles since then trying, but it is so hard to have patience. I don't get the chance to post here too much, but I try to offer support when I'm able! I am so happy to see all of the new BFPs and wish us all the best of luck.
Hi! Card carrying newbie, here! My name is Michele, I'm 28, and I lost my first pregnancy in December at what would have been 10w3d. Baby only measured 6w6d, or thereabouts. I'm still vacillating between being unbelievably sad and terrified and being hopeful for my future.
I drink champagne just because, work in an art museum, and am learning to play the banjo. DH is a classical archaeologist and, though he's away sometimes, it works out because I sometimes get to travel with him to Italy and Southern France for digs (it's not glamorous, though - we sleep in tents).
We're TTA until April-ish just because we aren't emotionally "there" yet.
Who's next?
My name is Natalie. We have been TTC since last March, and I have been pg twice. I had a natural mc in July and then a missed mc in December. When I had the missed mc, the doctor also found that I had a huge cyst on/in my left ovary. It was removed on December 22, and I am still kind of in recovery from that. I am ready to TTC again after my first period, since I had two d&cs from that missed mc in December.
I have two dogs, one of which is the Weimeraner in my siggy, Lilly. I am ready to get back into distance running (only half marathons, at the most), since I have been laid up for the past few months and gained about 15 pounds.
I am so glad that I found this board, it really helps to talk to folks who say the right things and understand what is going on!
I'm glad someone said something because I have felt lost for a while now! Sadly I know every name on PAL because that's who I started this board with and now they've all moved on.
Anyhoo, I am Lisa and my TTC crap is in my siggy if yer interested. Welcome newbs.

Hi, I'm Kristin. DH and I lost our only baby in an early m/c May/June 2008 due to Trisomy 16. The baby was a boy. DH and I have been TTC ever since and will enjoy 4 years of marriage this May.
We are back to TTC through medicated natural intercourse while we await my insurance to approve our IVF cycles in April. Currently we have 2 cute cats, Penny (17mo) and Franklin (5mo), who are just too sweet and have officially turned me into a cat person (along with my love of dogs).
I hope to get to know you all well! Good luck, everyone!
2 years of TTC, Seeing RE Feb 09, 2 medicated TI cycles - BFNs, 3 medicated IUIs - BFNs, back to medicated TI cycles until IVF approval, IVF approved in March 2010. BFP on last medicated TI cycle.
I hear you Elizabeth. I have only been on this board for 2 months and in the last couple weeks have seen a lot of new people.
Hi all. My name is Julie. DH & I got married last April and started TTC in June. We got pg after 3 months (took one month off because I was on non-pg happy meds.) in September. We found out in mid-November we had a missed m/c. Timing-wise I was 10.5 weeks, but the baby only grew to about 6.5. I had a sh!t ton of pg symptoms still so I had no idea.
We just started TTC again this cycle.
I hope to get to know everyone.
Missed m/c 11.09 | Missed m/c 3.10 | We miss you & love you so.

I was gone for most of the holidays and I came back and a lot of new people were here. It's sad to see so many new faces.
Not because I don't like new people, but just because of all the women who find themselves in these rather crappy situations.
A big welcome to everyone! I hope you find this board as comforting and encouraging as I have.
I might as well make a real introduction rather than I quiet one I did a few weeks back.
I'm Anne. I'm married to Jon. We have a daughter who is almost 2 and one angel baby. We also have 3 really big dogs that take up a lot of space. My newbie status is misleading as I've been knotting, nesting and bumping since early 2003 when I got engaged. I'm quiet though and it takes a lot to get me out and talking. I mostly just enjoy you ladies a lot and you make me laugh every day.
Kate was born 1-26-2008
Natural m/c on 10-18-09 at 9.5 weeks
Mira was born 9-14-2010
Same here. I've often felt guilty for not realizing that something was wrong during that period. I mean, I spotted a bit very early on but was reassured by my nurse that everything was fine. I wish I would have pressed the issue.
Sorry for your loss -
Hello! My name is Jenn, my my DH is Kevin, We have been married since May 9th, 2009, however we lived in Sin for 8 years before that, together since Sep. 2000
Anywhoo, we started trying the night we got hitched, and I got knocked August 2009, found out we lost the baby in October. I have began posting on MC/PL, then here since November.
I enjoy fun things, but I dislike boring things.
Hi Ladies...Newbie here. My name is Shanon, DH is Jessie. I turned 30 in Oct, DH is 29. I have endometriosis and PCOS. I've been on Metaformin for years and have had two surgeries to remove scarring from the endo. We just got married Aug. 23, but have been together almost four years. We want babies right away so after all the testing this summer I went on the clomid and Sept. First round of clomid was a success, found out I pg on my Birthday, had a natural mc six days later.
We did the second round of Clomid with Dec. cycle and AF arrived yesterday so it was a wash. I am not looking forward to round three of clomid, to commence on Friday because it makes me an evil person.
My blessings: I have a dog, KB, she is 5 and a rescue mutt. I have two inside cats, Dexter and Bo. Bo is handicapped, he suffers from cerebellar hypoplasia (basically he has no balance or coordination). Plus I am a sucker so I feed Herbie and Fat Cat, two strays who now live on my back porch because apparently I feed them well. We have awesome families, although sometimes there are challenges since I am a yankee and DH is full blooded southern gentleman. Plus I have a job I enjoy, I'm the Director of Admissions and Outreach at a nursing home and I love working with seniors, besides children they are the most honest individuals on this planet. My life is pretty great minus the fact that my ute is empty.
<--- says bronze, but I still feel like a newbie
I'm 27 married my high school sweet heart 5 1/2 years ago. He's 28. We're both pretty healthy, deeply in love and want to make a baby.
Using the pull and pray method while AF was here (it was V-day) I got KU with our princess, Kaitlyn. Easy pregnancy (other than boderline GD), easy baby, and I had the baby itch when she was 4 months.
December 2006, using the pull and pray method (DH wasn't ready for another baby, dd had just turned 2), during AF (it was Christmas) I got KU again. This time, pregnancy went to hell in a handbasket. 10 weeks on hospital bed rest until our prince was born 7 weeks early. He passed away when he was 10 weeks old to SIDS.
Both pics in my siggy link to their websites
December 2008, using the pull and pray method (we weren't ready to ttc), during AF (it was Christmas, Again) I got KU. Scared, nervous, then really excited and smiling big smiles again. m/c at 8w2d.
Start TTC in Feb 09. Assume it will be easy. I was wrong.
May 09 Cycle: KU, miserable, drawn out m/c
Dec 09 cycle: KU and CP
We have a 6 year old Beagle, named Archie. We just got a new puppie, Chico on Dec 26.
So basically, my uterus hates me.

~Today I am pregnant and I love my baby~
Hello All ~ I'm Sandy, almost 29 (boo) and my DH is Chuck, 28 (a younger man...LOL). We got married almost 6 years ago at which point I went off my BC and did not get KTFU. We went to an RE in Dec 2007 and found out that DH's boys don't seem to want to cooperate. I had 5 unsuccessful IUIs before going to IVF in August of 2008. I had my first loss in Nov 2008 due to trisomy 8 at 9w1d. We then took a little RE break and tried to TTC on our own...no good. So we went back in April of 09 and my BFP=twins. I carried my wonderful boys for 19w1d and 19w3d before losing them both for no known reason. Yup...they were healthy, no abnormalities. Docs think I can't carry twins...well doesn't that just stink!
So we are now TTC on our own again...although I am a bit crazier this time around! We will be going back to IVF in March/April if the next few cycles don't work out...looking to transfer towards the end of May after my med rounds. I too enjoy the purple stomach, heart shaped marker prints on my @$$, and soreness! Re is only transferring 1 embryo this next time and I will probably be on bed rest...yippee!
I'm Mindy, and I'm as old as dirt when it comes to TTCAL. or ttc in general.
been ttc for over 2 years now. 2 losses (July 2008 - blighted ovum at 11 weeks and October 2008 - no heartbeat at 8 weeks). one loss was natural one was d&c. we've had all the testing done - no issue found. now it's been over a year and nothing. I've tried drugs (femara) and about every natural remedy possible. . .
so, yes. I'm Mindy, the girl who used to get ktfu just like that. and now can't.
I'm sorry for your loss too. Please don't be hard on yourself. I spotted too (til about 5.5 weeks) and even had an early u/s at which we saw the hb and everything. It was perfect. I like to think the baby wanted us as much as we wanted him/her or there would have been a sign.
I wish you the best.
Missed m/c 11.09 | Missed m/c 3.10 | We miss you & love you so.

Hello. I'm Sonadora. I also answer to Sona. And Wino. I'm one of the resident later evening winos here.
I've been married since August 18, 2006. Thought we did the responsible thing by buying a house, getting our shiznit together with jobs and finances and stuff before TTC out first. Clearly, that didn't work out so well. My bfp on 9/23/09 turned into my worst nightmare around what should have been mid-7 weeks when my OB couldn't find a h/b. 2 days later at a real u/s place they found a very slow h/b and I was measuring 2 weeks behind, 8 days later, slightly higher h/b, but little growth, 10 days later and no h/b and it was over. D&C on 11/3/09 at what should have been 10w3d.
Now, we're TTA until my next cycle, but apparently we are like 2 kids when it comes to rubbers and can't follow the instructions, resulting in multiple broken ones around O this month, so I have raging Mind Fetus.

Hi! I'm Johanna. Got KTFU in June 2009, blighted ovum found in August that took two weeks to naturally m/c. Tried in October, got pregnant, CP in November. Could have tried again right away, decided to wait a little. Applying for Grad School right now. Also, TTC this cycle.
Have two weims and a cat that are happy we have no human children to steal their thunder. Also have a friend due and month before my 1st due date and SIL due one month before my 2nd. Work with adults who cannot support themselves without my tax dollars but seem to pop out babies like Pez. Makes it hard to be Pollyanna all the time.
Hi All!! My name is Joy, I joined this board this past weekend and I mc'd on Nov. 23rd. I was 11w4d and the baby measured 8w5d. This was my first PG and DH and I are finally recovering. I was prescribed medication and as a result it has taken forever for my HcG levels to get below 5! I was at 16 last week and am hoping that today was the last time of getting stuck with a needle for awhile.
My DH and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on Nov. 22 and we are both teachers, but at different schools. Since the mc'd I have rediscovered the joys of drinking wine with dinner and reading none PG books!! Both of those two things have kept me sane!!
We are hoping to TTC again after AF makes her return. In the meanwhile, I have enjoyed getting to know you ladies!! Your support, humor, and kindness helped make the New Year that much easier. Wishing us all lots of good things in 2010!!
Hi, I'm Vivian (I'm 29) and my DH is Joe (he's 34). We are the proud parents to our 2 1/2 year old son Connor. We got married in June of 06 and started TTC in July. We got pg with Connor in October 06 and had a very uneventful, easy pregnancy. He came out with a bang on the 4th of July and he hasn't stopped since. We decided to TTC #2 back in July of 09. We got our BFP on 12/12 and after 6 days of spotting and cramping I had a natural m/c on 12/29. We are completely heartbroken but ready to start trying again as soon as AF arrives.
We are also the proud parents of our two 11 year old cats, Fat Boy and Critter, our 2 crazy dogs Emma (1 year old german shepherd) and Greta (6 month old doberman) and 4 fish.
I am so sorry that we are all here but I am so glad that I have found this board full of amazing and supportive women. I hope all of our stays here are short ones!
*hopes she's a cool kid* haha

I'm still pretty new, so hi to everyone!
I'm Kelly, I'm 24. DH is Justin, we've been together 4 years, and we got married Aug. 2, 2008.
Got our BFP on Halloween 09, and I had a D&C 12-17. I went to the ER with a bleeding scare once, but they found a heartbeat and told me not to worry. 1 week later, my regular Dr. did the ER follow up and diagnosed me with a partial molar and had to schedule a D&C. We were devastated, not only for the loss of our little one, but because because of the cancer risk, and that by the time we got the OK to TTC again, DH would be deployed for a year.
In the pre-op scan, they found no molar traits, and attributed the previous diagnosis to lots of blood clots. Baby still hadn't grown, and the heart beat had stopped, and it was ruled a missed m/c. We went ahead with the D&C anyhow, because my body showed no intentions of recognizing the loss of the baby. It was a roller coaster to say the least.
Now I'm waiting for AF so we can start trying again. Until then, I'm going back to school, which will keep me busy. We also have 4 furbabies - all cats - Kenny, Reba, Carrie and Cash.?
