Do they think I'm fat or pregnant?

I'm starting to wonder if people look at my bump and think it's a fat gut or that I'm pregnant. I am at that awkward stage right now and I would like to hear what people are thinking when they see me just out of curiosity. Sometimes I find myself only putting my hand on top of my stomach or rubbing it because I know someone is looking.

hahaha I do the same thing!!!!!!!! I often wonder this. I haven't had anyone come up to me and ask if I was pregnant yet, so I'm guessing I either am only around polite people or I just look fat!:) Oh well... it will be more than obvious soon enough!

I feel the same way....I think I look fat not pg. Hopefully, I will get a bigger belly soon.

I ask my Dh all the time if i look fat or pg (like he's going to tell the truth lol). Especially after we ran into a group of people at the bowling alley I went to high school with- and haven't seen in almost 10 years. I didn't have time to explain that I was pg without making it seem like gloating- here's my DH and I'm due in May. I didn't want them all thinking I gained a bunch of weight since hs though.

I did get my first random pg comment on New Year's though. Yay!

I also ask DH all the time if I look fat or pregnant and I feel the same way that people think I am just fat - need a bigger bump soon :-)

But for now just enjoy the fact that you are housing an important little one in there and that you are pregnant......everyone else can take a hike.

Yeah, I think it's obvious now and people who already know say I'm showing, but I've gotten no comments from people who don't know. I am definitely in the "is she pregnant, or has she let herself go?" phase which for me seems to be from about 14 weeks until sometime in the 3rd trimester (based on DD). I try wearing maternity shirts to see if that makes me look more pregnant than fat, but I don't think it's really working on anyone.

I also ask DH this all the time. He is usually pretty honest and just recently started saying pregnant! My exact words on New Year's Eve was "Does this make me look like "cute baby bump" or "fat wife in a little sweater"? LOL Oh well, I know it will become more obvious soon enough!

I haven't had anyone ask yet if I am pregnant. I have seen the look on a few of my customers faces, but I know they are to scared to ask. I don't think I have ever asked someone if they are expecting, even if they obviously are. It's just to risky to me!

DH tells me all the time that I totally look pregnant and not fat. I don't quite trust his judgment though, because he sees girls that are obviously just fat, but he thinks they are pregnant. LOL So far no one has asked if I was pregnant, but I HOPE I don't just look fat anymore!

I was at the gym yesterday night and some guy kept OBVIOUSLY turning to look at me. I mean I was next to him two machines down and he kept turning towards me. Then I left my machine and went to the weights and he turned his head 180 degrees to look at me. I think he was wondering if I was strangely carrying belly weight or pregnant. lol
