My lo won't sleep anywhere but in our arms... not typical...

Ok so a typical night entails us rocking my ds for 10 minutes tops to sleep and he's down in his crib by 8:30 pm. Also, typically during the day we keep him on the E.A.S.Y routine and we usually have no problems following it.

Today & this evening has not been so typical. For starters, throughout the day he has been able to fall asleep but as soon as I put him in his crib or even his swing he'll start screaming and crying. I was able to get him down for 1.5 nap in his carseat but only because we went for a carride. So this evening we're facing the same problem. He has no issue with going to sleep but when we put him down in his crib he screams. And we're not putting him down any different then what we typically do. So I've also tried the swing and he'll last maybe 5 minutes tops and then start screaming. His temp is reading norm. Diaper changed. He's fed. But I've offered to nurse him during his tantrums and he refuses to nurse. But I know he's not hungry because he'll eat just fine once he's settled down.

I'm just concerened because this is not typical for us. Could it be colic or could it be something else?

    He probably just wants some extra snuggles. Nothin' wrong with that.

    Could be colic. Could also be overstimulation - this is how LO used to act before I started sleep training with her. The Baby Whisperer talks about it in both her books. I also noticed I was keeping her up way too long between naps! I think Baby Whisperer says 45 min. to eat then ... what is it, like an hour or something of play time?... I noticed that was too long for LO. I could only keep her up for 50 min. at that age before her next nap. Not sure how much help this is, but maybe treating that is worth a shot?

    My LO just started this. He loves to just be close to me. He sleeps best when he is on me or in the moby. His dad was the same way as a  baby my MIL said. She said it was next to impossible for the first 4months to even put him down or he would just have a fit! so I guess my guy takes after his dad. Our daughter had colic and she was opposite of this she wanted to be put down and left alone in her swing and she would calm down.
