What are some of the best brands of mattresses you recommend? I see a lot of Sealy mattresses getting good reviews, but I want to know does anyone here like that brand, or what has worked for you.
We had a sealy for ours. It was the one that had the most coils when we bought our crib. You want to find one with as many coils as your budget allows.
I just bought a Sealy...it was between that and a Serta...I bought it from US mattresses dot com ...they offered free shipping and zero tax!!! My crib is apparently a unique size and it took me FOREVER to find the correct dimensions!! But the Sealy seems to be good...it has a very high number of coils, which I like. GL!

i never knew about the coil count. well i never really thought about it. i guess that does make sense, the more coils the firmer the mattress. i will be looking into that.
thanks yall. more than likely i'll be choosing a sealy, and trying to find one with a good coil count. glad to hear more good reviews on their brand of crib mattresses
Coil count isn't the full picture for firmness. Two different companies/mattresses can have different coil counts but have the same firmness based on the guage of the wire used in the coils. Am similarly, they could have the same count and not be as firm. Just something to keep in mind. We're leaning towards this mattress based on great reviews in Baby Bargains and online (an added plus that it's considered organic):
Re: Crib Mattresses
I bought this one:

it had the best reviews and was a top seller according to the lady at burlington coat factory.
