So I am reading about how high the m/c rate is for both of them. I do not know what the factor is in the m/c rate on that but I just wanted to know if it is worth the risk to you? I am currently 34 but will be 35 by delivery.

Re: Is an amnio or CVS worth the risk?
I was 33 when DD was born and I got an NT scan. The results from that were all so great that I didn't pursue further testing. I'm 35 now and I'll do the same again. I'll do the NT scan and based on those results, will decide if further testing is necessary.
What frustrates me is that technology has existed to isolate fetal blood from maternal blood for at least 10 years but doctor offices haven't caught up. You'd be able to get a full chromosome chart from a simple blood draw - no need to get amniotic fluid and therefore way less risk to the baby.
You and your doctor need to decide if it worth the risk. I am 29, but I am getting an NT scan and if something shows up questionable during that, I will probably opt for the amnio or CVS.
It really is such a personal decision.
