dumbest question of the year thus far award but comparatively speaking, how do you tell if your let down is too fast or slow?
I am both BF and Pumping the LO with an occasional formula bottle.
I'm wondering if he's a fast eater or if it's my letdown?
When I pump it takes a few minutes and then out it all comes but it only lasts a total of 2 minutes.
Re: how can you tell if your letdown is fast or slow?
The way I was told is that if you have a fast (or overactive) letdown, you will know it b/c your LO will choke/cough a few seconds after the milk lets down. If that isn't happening, then I *think* you just have a fast eater on your hands. I could be completely off though...
I have a fast/overactive letdown - she chokes almost every time.
This. My left breast has a faster letdown so DD almost always chokes a little when she eats on that side.
Because when he pulls off my boob, the milk comes spurting out in multiple streams! And he chokes too... What a pain at 3am.
