I haven't been on too much in the last couple of days and didn't see Charlie and Lily's new pic until now. They are ABSOLUTELY adorable! I love that pic! I'm glad to hear they are doing well, I was going to page you to see how much they weigh. Joshua weighed 12 lb 4 oz last week and I was so excited! Are they still sleeping through the night?
Re: **Million$$Baby**
Aw, thank you! We'll need to keep tabs on each other more since our babies are right around the same age
Not to jinx anything, but Charlie and Lily have slept through the night for the past...6 nights I think. Last night they slept from 10:00 pm - 7:40 am! I am loving it. I just hope they can keep it up. I'm getting way to used to not waking up at 3:00 am!
How is Joshua doing reaching his milestones? I think mine are doing okay. Just the other day they started to track objects with their eyes, which made me happy. And they both are fairly close to rolling over, I think. We started attempting solids the other day, but so far they both just hold the cereal in their mouths for a bit and then spit it out! Charlie weighed 12 lbs 11 oz last week and Lily weighed 11 lbs 3 oz.
I am so glad they are still sleeping through the night! That is awesome! Joshua will usually sleep from 9/10:00 until I wake him, usually between 6 or 7, though during the holidays, with the late nights, he slept until almost 8 a couple of mornings. The 3:00 feed was the one we finally were able to drop. I would wake him and he wouldn't eat very much or whatever he did eat, he would throw it up. So I finally asked the pedi if I could forego that one as well. He was ok with that, but Joshua doesn't make up his calories during the day so it makes me very nervous. How many bottles do the babies take during the day? Joshua is only on 6, though he would probably drop to 5 if I didn't wake him up in the early morning! He's only taking about 135-145cc/bottle as well. Anymore than that and he'll throw that up as well. He's got really bad reflux, so the throwing up thing is very normal for us, but still frustrating. I hate it for him.
As far as his milestones, he HATES tummy time! I worry about his neck needing to increase muscle tone, but he is doing pretty well. He holds it up very well. He's rolled over a couple of times, but I don't think it was intentional and not repeated. He's not given many opportunities to do so because of the reflux, he's not put down flat unless he's getting a diaper change, and even then, he'll throw up. (Yeah, not fun!) He loves to stand up though, he'll hold on to your fingers and sit up, but he'll try standing before he even sits up! When he's in tummy time, he tries "crawling" where he pushes himself over the boppy with his feet, or if he's on his back, he'll push himself backwards where he's on his head upside down! I don't think there's any weakness in those little legs! Our physical therapist will be coming next week through EI, she has been sick and hasn't been able to come, so hopefully she will see progress from him since her last visit. He does track and the pedi even said he was doing well since he tracks up as well. Mommy was happy!
We haven't tried solids yet, we go back to pedi in a couple of weeks so we'll find out what he thinks. Joshua gets thickened feeds with Simply Thick due to a paralyzed vocal cord (due to PDA ligation at 3 days old). The ST doesn't really help with the reflux a whole lot, but instead of complicating the feeds even more by adding cereal to the bottles,(we still supplement with 1/2 tsp Neosure/100 cc of milk and we have to add sodium and potassium(due to him still taking a diuretic for the chronic lung disease) we just leave well enough alone. Hopefully we'll be given the ok to try cereal on a spoon!
I follow your babies with your blog, which I love! I tell everyone about Charlie and Lily and how cute they are. It's nice to have the babies that close in age and have someone in the same stage at the same time! Congratulations on the great weights! These babies are growing so quickly, before we know it, we'll have little 1 year olds!
