Ugh. I just don't do well in the winter. I get moody and tend to see the glass as half empty during the cold months, like life just isn't as good. Especially in Michigan where the sky can be steel gray for 3 months straight. I feel more isolated and like things are too quiet.
I've been treated in the past for SAD, so I think I might have to break out the light treatment box again.
Re: Does the winter get anyone else blue?
Yep! We found out NYE. :-)
YAY!!! that could also be contributing to your moodiness.
i tend to feel the same way and i pray for a sunny day. like today, thank goodness, since we're stuck in with a very pitiful dd.

I am probably moodier because of the pregnancy. That was partially how I knew I was pregnant. Normal people don't cry to Last Christmas by Wham...lol.
We are having a sunny day today, so maybe I'll bundle Adam up and take him for a walk,
Ugh, I know precisely what you mean. But you already know this because you were so sweet to reply to my post a few days ago.
Today is feeling especially awful because Tallen is cranky and we don't have the car and it is SO freezing cold outside.
I don't have words of wisdom...just empathy.
It's freakin' freezing here, too. Man, I long to complain how hot it is in the summer!
And my offer to PM me to chat about our crazy moods still stands, if you ever need it. :-)
SAD is super common in Seattle - basically everyone has it! We all wake up in the morning and immediately turn on our "happy lights."

They work!
St Johns Wort is good too - it's OK while nursing (according to my midwife and pedi) but I am not sure about pregnancy.
Yeah, I really need to find my mood light and start using that again. I remember it really made a difference and also helped to wake me up.
