Why is boy bedding...

limited to like three themes? This mama isn't so big on "themed" rooms. Any suggestions on non-themed boy bedding out there?

Re: Why is boy bedding...

  • I know.. some of it is awful too. I was looking at boy bedding while pg (convinced i was having a boy but WRONG)

Serena & Lily have really cute boy patterns that are non-themey. Mostly plaid, stripes, and baby masculine patterns. I love Rex.

  • Have you tried Target? We have a regular Target in my area so they only sell regular bedding set but I went to a super Target [has the grocery store and everything] and I found that you can buy everything for the nursery as seperates. So instead of buying a bedding set with the bumper, sheets, comforter, and mobile all the exact same theme you can mix and match and buy the bumper seperatly...
  • Pottery Barn has a couple of non-themed ones.  There's one in their newest catalog that is just stripes and plaid, but I think it's really cute.
  • I hate themes too, so I went with this one from Target:

I guess dots/stripes is technically a theme, but I found it was easier to find accessories for the nursery that weren't so matchy-matchy.

I also really like this set, but they didn't have it in stock when I was looking to buy:

  • Totally 100% with you.  I think we'll likely end up going with solid colors just to avoid a theme altogether!  Ugh!
  • I dont' know what I'm having yet. I have to wait another week and a half but I've beening looking at bedding to order. Plenty of girl options but boy options...none I've really liked so far. I just want something nonthemed, not busy and blue.
  • I love the Caden Lane Blue Sheets. You can then pair with blue or brown solids.image

  • We went with this Restoration Hardware Baby and Child bedding.  It is reallu good quality and I love it! Plus they have coupons for 20% off your total purchase there a lot.

  • I agree with all of the advice above and I understand the theme issue because I feel the same way.  I am going with a simple blue and white pattern and I think simple patterns or mixing with solids give a classic look that isn't cheesy.  Good luck!

  • A great website to look at is www.babysupermall.com they have a crib bedding finder that will help you find bedding that is non-themed.

Here is a link to the finder https://www.babysupermall.com/main/browse/bedding4.html
