How soon after a misscarriage did you start IVF again?

Hi, I recently completed my first IVF cycle which sadly ended in a misscarriage at 5 weeks. I haven't had my WTF appointment yet so don't know what went wrong - if they can even tell me.  We unfortunately had no remaining embies to freeze so that would mean a fresh IVF cycle for us.

For those of you who have had similar circumstances how long after a misscarriage did you wait to start a fresh IVF cycle? Did your RE have you wait longer than normal because of the miscarriage?

TTC since November 2008; me - poor egg quality,hypothyroidism,missing beta 3 integrin;
DH - some MFI;

1 month clomid plus timing - BFN;
3 months clomid + IUI - BFN BFN BFN

IVF #1 Nov/Dec 2009 - BFP - c/p;
IVF #2.1 Jan 2011 - Converted to IUI - BFN;
IVF #2.2 March/April 2011 - ER 3/23/11: 12 retrieved, 8 mature, 3 fert-ET 3dt 3/26/11: 3 embies - BFN;
IVF #3 May 2011 - ER 5/19/11: 20 retrieved, 10 mature, 9 fert-ET 5dt 5/24/11 3 embies - BFN;
Switched RE's for IVF #4 (CCRM) Oct 2011 - Surprise BFP before starting IVF #4!

    My RE's standard protocol was to take a cycle off, hormone-free.  But since I don't ovulate, I started BCP for IVF #2 on day 35 or so of the bleed after my m/c.

    I am so sorry for your loss.


    After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    My RE makes you have one post m/c AF before starting another cycle. However, I waited 4 months because I just wasn't ready to start the process all over again.

    I believe that they will make you sit out a cycle to let your body rest before starting another cycle.

    After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!

    First, I'm so sorry for your loss.  I m/c in March and was allowed to start bcp in May for our June IVF cycle.  Good luck to you.
