DH is calling it "oh-10" He heard it on some Nascar show so he's sticking to it.
Ha! Interesting! I wonder if people will look at him funny. Or maybe it will spread, since it is even easier to say!
My thoughts are I will probably end up sticking with the theme of whatever I say now for the rest of my life. I feel like "twenty" rolls off my tongue easier than "two-thousand"- with less syllables. Imagine in a few years saying "two-thousand-seventeen" vs. "twenty-seventeen". I kinda like the latter. It is hard to switch though, since I didn't say "twenty-nine"....

Good point! When I think of it in terms of later years, "two-thousand-seventeen" doesn't really flow off the?tongue?as easily as "two-thousand-ten" does, even "two-thousand-eleven" is a bit of a mouthful. I voted for the "two-thousand-ten" option, but I will probably end up saying "twenty-eleven," "twenty-twelve" so I should just start now, eh? Either way, its going to take some time getting used to, and will just feel "weird," just like the switch from 1999 to the 2000s felt odd on the?tongue?I guess.?
I've been saying, "Two thousand ten" but I realized that when I read the #s I say (in my head) "Twenty-ten." I think I like twenty-ten best. It's prettier.
Happy New Year, btw, and welcome home! How'd the travelling go?
