Any quick ideas- she doesn't want to sleep?

She's dry, she's fed,  and she is obviously tired but she won't sleep.  I have went in there picked her up given her extra loving checked her diaper several time and offered her more milk.  I have fixed her crib blankets and even given her motrin just in case it's her teeth (she is teething she has 12 teeth plus 2 coming in) I just laid her down for the 4th time but she is in there screaming.  I usually let her cry for 5-10 minutes and then go in.  She has now been crying for about 15 minutes. I feel bad just letting her keep crying anybody got any other ideas I can try?  She shoes no indication of being sick or being in pain, she has been fine all day.

  • Could she be over-tired?  DD has a really hard time settling down if she's too tired.  She actually did this one night last week.  I went in every 10 mins. or so and eventually had to stop going in...it seemed to rile her up even more by me going in and out like that.  Once I stopped going in, she cried for about 20 mins and then conked out for the night.  GL!

  • Have you tried playing her music? That helps our DS go to sleep.

  • She's such a spoiled mommy's girl I couldn't take the crying anymore so I went in and picked her up. I took her in my room and laid her beside me in the bed and cuddled her.  She was asleep in less than 2 minutes.  I just laid there with her for a while because she rarely sleeps on me anymore and rarely every wants to cuddle with me and I miss the newborn cuddling phase so much.  I just hope that her not wanting to sleep thing is just because her routine is so out of whack because of the holidays.
