Flutters, anyone? I googled, still insterested hearing your thoughts

Reintroducing myself, since I mostly lurk and I am trying to post more.  I am Deb and I have been excited to join SAIF.   

I didn't expect movement  to feel like this, so if you could share your thoughts, I would be thankful! 

I don't know if I am finally feeling "real flutters" or what this is; it is almost like a vibration, or a twitch. I have felt a flutter or two, but nothing constant like this.   It is not painful at all, so I am not worried, I am just trying to get to know these things mean.  It just feels foriegn. Any experience with this?  Thanks so much for your help.

Years of trying and treatment, IVF#1 brought us our darling C!

    I still haven't felt what I would describe as a "kick".  Definitely since around 17 weeks I've been felling "flutters".  It's hard to describe it exactly, I could call it a vibration or something that feels like it is going "bloop" inside. 

    I think that whatever you are feeling is the baby Smile 

    Ectopic pregnancy Aug. 2008, followed by a diagnosis of two blocked tubes.
    IVF#1 gave us a BFP on 8/24/09, DD born May 2010
    Surprise, natural BFP July 2012 ended in miscarriage 9/4/12 at 10w4d
    FET#1 January 2013

    Some of the earliest movements that I felt were like a thump.  Almost like if someone was to flick their finger off their thumb and hit against my stomach.  I had a few early movements around where you are now, but didn't really start feeling consistent movements until about 24 weeks.  

    It's hard to describe how they felt, but it sounds like that's what you're starting to experience.

    I felt some light flutters, like a moth flapping its wings in my stomach, around that time. It sounds like you're feeling the baby.

     I had exactly this same movement. 

    Sounds to me like you are feeling the baby!!! It is so exciting.

    It probably is flutters if it's some sort of movement that's different from what you're used to on a normal day-to-day.  For me, it felt a little like when you go over a bump/hill and your stomach drops out.

    Last week (17 wks) I started experiencing some funny feelings, too.  At first it felt like someone was flicking me from inside.  Then, I'd wait and wait and wait and nothing would happen again.  Now it's more like flutters or twitches and while they're still sporadic, I'm feeling them more and more.

    Sounds like what you're feeling is similar and I'd say it's the baby :) So exciting, isn't it?

    I always had the "could it be" feelings at about where you are. I never ever really could describe the feeling besides little twinges here and there. It wasn't until later on when I knew for sure it was my baby. So, yes - I think what you are feeling is your LO!!!
    A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
    After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
    My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

    I would feel vibrations, flutters, and almost like a little fish tail flopping around in there.  I started feeling it at 13 weeks.

    Yay!  Sounds like baby :) I felt, at that point, what I described as popcorn popping in my belly.  Low.  Always to one side or the other.  Never more than once or twice in a day.

    Sounds like exactly what I was feeling at that point.  Congrats - you have a moving baby!  How exciting.

    Wow, this is the perfect descriptor!!  I kept trying to figure out what to compare it to!  I remember the first few times going...oh my...was that what I thought it was?
