Just left Panera Bread in tears

LOL, at least I know when I'm being ridiculous.  I had to do my glucose test this morning at the doctor's office, and they made me wait 20 freaking minutes before even giving me the damn drink, so I sat for an hour and a half dreaming about the Chicken Salad Sandwich I was going to get a Panera.  I finally get to leave and hightail it over there, only to discover that the bastards changed their chicken salad and it now has almonds.

I loathe nuts, especially in sandwiches.  So, I left without getting anything, walking to my car with tears streaming down my face, laughing.  Because yep, I am crying over a SANDWICH.

Why Panera, must you mess with a good thing?

  • Oh now I totally feel their pain because their chicken salad is amazing, but NUTS? Yuck!  I'd cry too and I'm not even pregnant.

  • You're definitely pregnant! LOL!
I used to cry over each and every tiny thing when pregnant. Especially if it dealt with food.
Why can't they make a chicken salad without nuts, too? That wasn't smart of them. Especially people with nut allergies.
  • I would cry too! They've been changing things, and I don't know why. If it's good, don't mess with it!

  • Awww! Poor girl! That makes me sad - I remember those days all too well! I hope you find something to satisfy your tastebuds.  :-)
  • Can't say I haven't been there.  Cried over a cupcake a while back.  It happens.  And I agree, that's nasty.

  • LOL, I've totally been there.

I almost had a panic attack at Cheesecake Factory yesterday afternoon when I thought my favorite pasta dish was no longer on the menu  :)

  • If  it makes you feel better I cried over a sandwich from Jimmy John's when I was about one week post partum.
  • Nothing's worse than building up excitement to the day when you going to go get one of your favoritest treats and then getting there and it's "no longer on the menu" or "out of that today" or "a new and 'improved' version of your old favorite" (which is always not as good).  I feel your pain.

  • Aw, that sucks:(  I wouldn't be thrilled about the almonds being in there either...why mess with a good thing?

  • Don't feel bad, I would probably be close to tears about it even if not pregnant. Don't mess with the food, man Wink.
  • LOL! The joys of pregnancy.

But yuck, why would they put nuts in the chicken salad...I HATE when places mess with their recipes.

So what did you end up getting for lunch?

  • I can completely sympathize, I had a huge fit a few months ago when I found out DH had eaten the rest of the tuna without telling me, and alllll I wanted was a tuna sandwich for lunch.
  • I would cry, too.  Why do places feck with recipes like that?  I can't tell you how many chicken salad sandwiches I've gotten with the weirdest schit in them - like grapes (which I hate) and pineapple (vomit on the floor).  Leave it alone, people.

I would've cried, too, and I'm not even pregnant!

LOL, I came home and made my own damn chicken salad sandwich, that's how badly I wanted it.

  • I have a similar story.

At my week 39 appt, my OB ran out for a delivery just as I was walking in.  I was SOOOO upset b/c I'd been dilated and effaced for several weeks and I wanted that baby OUT.  The nurse said they couldn't check me and sent me on my way.  I was going to drive thru Chick-Fil-A and get a shake on my way home, but they don't open until 11am and it was 10:45.  I cried all the way home.
