He gave me a really nice pair of diamond earrings - he gave them to me on Christmas Day even though they are really for when the baby comes - he just said he couldn't wait any longer to give them to me.
I think I am, but I also think that my gift will be homemade. DH is a horrible liar, one evening he told me that he had to run by my brothers house to fix his computer, I asked him what was wrong with it and he got all flustered and essentially gave away the fact that whatever they were doing over there, I wasn't supposed to know about. I can't wait to find out!
I've really wanted a Pandora bracelet for awhile now (it's a type of charm bracelet). My sister and my mom have them and so I've been hinting to my DH that it would be a great 'push present'. He hates to buy jewelry but was ready to cave in when my sister let him know that she already bought one for me along with a baby carriage charm that she gave me for Christmas. So he gave me an I love you charm for Christmas and will probably get me a charm when the LO comes once we know it's a boy or a girl.
The idea of a push present is ridicules to me. I like to be spoiled and I like nice things but I think it says something about our society that everything we do seems to deserve a gift.
I don't believe that a diamond necklace shows my husbands appreciation and respect for me.
If my DH doesn't get me a gift does that mean that he doesn't appreciate that I just gave birth?
I have no idea as my DH and I have not talked about this, but I did make him a Daddy Diaper Bag that he loves (its camo!). I honestly agree with the mommies who want time to themselves once in a while as tgheir present. I will be a SAHM as well, but we have 2 dogs and 4 cats and I pick up after my husband cause he never learned this skill himself... Just FYI he has gotten better since we were married!! But I dont expect jewelry.
No, we have a lot more important things to be concerned about (and spend money on) than me a present. I would never even think to get a present for delivering a baby. I have had 3 baby showers and DH has gone above and beyond for me this entire pregnancy. I don't think I really need or want anything else. Diamonds are the farthest thing from my mind honestly.
This!
this too, plus it's not like i made the baby myself, so for me my son is my push present.
I told DH about the push present idea a few months ago and mentioned if he did this I would love to have a new cross necklace. Low and behold he gave me a new cross necklace for Christmas! I don't think I'll be getting a push present, and I don't mind one bit. Seeing DH with Ethan is going to be gift enough. Of course if DH did get me one... I wouldn't be upset .

I would love another diamond wedding band for the other side of my engagement ring, but my husband laughed when I mentioned it...though if he goes to the Superbowl, I may just get it for myself! All of my friends have received something, but a baby is the best gift!

There is a bracelet I want to buy with LO's initial on a charm. I have a feeling DH will buy it and give it to me.
