My Lo is waking up 1 to 2 times a night, but the second time is early morning, around 5am. What does STTN mean to you? For me, I'd love for him to go down at 10:30pm and get up at 7am. I've been increasing him night bottle to see if he lasts longer, but he still is hungry and wakes up. Just curious.

Re: what do you consider STTN?
technically it's any 5-hour stretch, usually between midnight and 5 am.
for us, it WAS 8 pm to 3 am (7 hours). i miss those days...
Wow! If this is the case then DS does it! He sleeps from 7:30 to 1:30am usually.
THIS!! My LO goes down around 10/1030 and wakes up btwn 645 and 7. if she goes down earlier (9pm) she still gets up at like 630/645
its lovely
When he was smaller I considered 6 hours STTN. Now it's about 9 hours but if he wakes up once or twice and is cold, needs his paci, etc. I still consider STTN since he doesn't need feeding or anything and is literally back out in a minute.
I consider STTN to be going to bed at 630-7pm and not waking before I do
I get up at 430 for work and DS usually gets up between 530 and 6, eats, and goes back down il 730 or 8. It's heaven!
I know the technical definition is a 5-6 hour stretch but that's not enough IMO.
My definition is 8:00pm - 6:00/7:00am without waking up. DD has never does this yet. There was one time where she slept until 4:30am. I think she was 6 weeks old at the time.
Some people consider 5-6 hours of sleep STTN. If thats the case..DD slept from 8:00pm - 2:00am Saturday night. I don't consider that STTN since I had to wake up!
Due to MY work schedule and my DH's, my LO will probably never go to sleep at 7:30 pm. I work (with baby) from 10 am to 6 pm and am not home before 6:30. DH gets home at 7:30. Eventually we want him to go to sleep for the night at 8:30...
His current bedtime is around 9:30 pm (give or take) and he can usually go until 6 or 7 am. Though there ARE some nights he wakes up between 3 and 4 am for a bottle, but they are becoming less frequent.

I know "STTN" is technically 5-6 hours of unbroken sleep, but in my mind, if I have to rouse my tired ass out of bed in the middle of the night and trudge to the nursery, it's not STTN.
I personally say DS "slept through the night" if he sleeps straight from bedtime to anytime after 5 a.m..
