Any IVF mommies out there?

I hope you don't mind me posting this here, but we are looking at possible IVF with ICSI and I have lots of questions!

If any of you ladies did IVF, how many embryos did you transplant, and how many babies did you have?

Thanks so much, and congrats to you all! 

TTC #1 since 6/08, MFI dx'd 3/09 Varicocelectomy 6/09, Hydrocelectomy 10/09 IVF with ICSI in Jan/Feb 2010 ER 2/7, ET 2/12 - transferred 2 blasts 5 snowbabies Beta #1 = 22 #2 = 19. Chemical Pregnancy :( FET May 2010 ET 5/30 - transferred 3 embies = BFN Fall/10 Went Gluten free + New RE and Clinic IUI #1 + Clomid 50 mg (1 follie) on 1/18 IUI #2 + Clomid 100 mg (1 follie) on 2/15 IUI# 3 + Femara 7.5 mg (1 follie) on 3/14 = BFP!!!! Beta #1 = 172 (15dpiui) Beta #2 =683!!! Ultrasound at 7 wks: 1 perfect beating heart. Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

    You transfer embryos, not transplant them.

    With IVF #1, we transfered 2 embryos and I had a chemical pregnancy.

    Same with IVF #2.

    And FET #1.

    With FET #2, we transfered 3 embryos and 1 took and then split, resulting in identical twins.

    First round we transferred two blasts = BFN.

    Second round we transferred two blasts = BFP with twins!

    Transferred 2 on our first try (used 1/2 and 1/2 ICSI, so not sure if these girls were ICSI or not) and ended up with twins.

    We transferred two perfect 5 day blast and both stuck now we are having twin girls.  We did not have to due ICSI, they retrieved 17 eggs and 5 were mature.  We had three make it blast, put two in and froze the 3rd one.  Good luck to you!

    we tdid a 3 day transfer of three embies.  ended up with b/g fraternal twins.  it was my first IVF and the choice was based on age and embryo quality. we had 2 top quality and the other one was "eh" ( i would have to look up the grades to remember exactly)  we did not do icsi

    IVF #1-transferred two 5 day blasts (ICSI) -BFN

    IVF#2-transferred three 5 day blasts (ICSI) -triplets, but lost one early on, having b/g twins

    we transferred 2 five day blasts (with ICSI) both times.  the first time, BFN.  the 2nd time, twins.

    First IVF we transferred 2, but miscarried very early..RE said it was a chemical pregnancy

    FET #1...transferred 2 & got b/g twins

    We did a 3 day transfer of 2 and are having twins.

    We did ICSI w/ our IVF - turns out our eggs & sperm were not binding otherwise.

    We transferred 2 5-day blasts and we're having twin boys.  No ICSI.

    You might keep in mind that doing this type of informal poll isn't that helpful without knowing the ages and medical situations of various couples.  For instance, I'm 33 and had unexplained IF, and our first IVF took. For older women or women with other conditions (endo, PCOS, etc) they may need to transfer more for a higher chance of success.

    IVF #1 -- put 2 back, none stuck.

    FET #1 -- put 3 back, initially all three stuck, but at 7 weeks we lost one and ended up with twins.

    We did 2 for 2.  Pregnant on 1st try with a Boy & Girl.  :) 

    I have PCOS.

    We did IVF with ICSI. + Lovenox blood thinner for entire pregnancy.

    And we have 20 embryos in the freezer.

    I also did hypnosis (shrink therapy) for needle phobia that helped out a lot. I am getting through it. It has been the most challenging thing I have ever put myself through but I knew what needed to be done, and there are different methods to deal with different things that can help one get through it. Good luck and may god bless you with a little miracle...or two!
