NBR: What is a good name for shoes for men?

We are thinking of getting tennis shoes or boots for FIL for his birthday but I have no clue what brand names are good. Any suggestions? What store are they available in?

    My FIL wears white Reeboks and thats it. He buys the same pair over and over and over.

    My DH wears DC's and Etnies and I am sure no FIL wears those, lol

    I would base my choices on what he does. Does he walk a lot? Does he have problems with his feet? Does he need them to work in? For example, Nike's are good for sports or walking, but Merrells are fantastic nature/rough wear shoes. Could you call MIL and find out what he wears?....

    My dad wears Sperry topsiders or his Saucony tennis shoes on the weekends and dress shoes during the week. My FIL wears either Columbia style hiking shoes or white adidas sneakers every day, but he is a contractor so he is out and about on job sites.

    My FIL likes Sketchers for his non work shoes, DS wear them or Keen's. For a nicer shoes DS likes Clarks.

    I got DH and my dad Doc Martens for Christmas and they love them! They said they're really comfy!
