Tonight DH told me how disappointed he is in me that i was not following my Dr. Luke and Peri diet close enough. Both Dr. Luke and peri recommend about the same intake. I am not able to eat as much as they want me too some days are better then others. Now i feel terrible. I am just having trouble getting all that food, even just the 11 servings of protein in.

He wasnot trying to make me feel but guilt me inot doing better i think. How do you girls get enough. I feel like a bad MoM.
Re: DH mad at me for no eating enough :(
does anyone know of any other foods that fit multiple catergories? MY baby brain is not helping me think creatively. Thanks again ladies!
High protein shakes helped me a lot! I blended them with flavored greek yogurt--brands like Chobani carry approx. 15+ grams of protein per serving!--plus I'd add in a banana and some berries...an easy, appetizing snack that served up lots of protein, dairy, and fruit(s). So a high protein drink (approx. 15 g of protein) plus the greek yogurt (15 g protein)= over 30 g of protein per smoothie!! You could vary it up by blending the shakes with ice cream (I did that for a "dessert" sometimes) or blend it with ice and a glass of milk (cuts down on that metallicy taste Ensure tends to have).
**My peri said there were enough studies out there that suggest liquid protein (i.e. those found in high protein drinks like Ensure, etc.) reaches the placentas easier thus allowing the nutrients to be absorbed more quickly than non-liquid sources. He had me drinking 2-3 the last month of my pg--I really wish I had started them earlier!!

It's definitely hard.
I would talk to your DH about using phrases like being disappointed in you. That's not supportive at all, and all it does is stress you out and make you feel bad - and that isn't good for the babies either!
All you can do is the best you can. Your OB/Peri will let you know if you're not gaining enough or if the babies are measuring small.
Ice cream, milk shakes, cold cheeseburgers and mac and cheese (no odor), and smoothies helped me a lot.
I had such a hard time with the protein too. DH was always encouraging me to eat more protein. I would honestly talk to your DH about being more supportive instead of making you feel bad. Trying to eat all of that when you aren't feeling the greatest is HARD!
I second the greek yogurt....its a great source of protein. And peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on whole wheat bread...I ate like one a day for probably 2 months straight!
You're not a bad MoM! You're doing great!
