It took me & DH 2 years to conceive our little guy, it was such an emotional roller coaster. We had wanted kids right away. And when both sides have a history of conceiving in their first 3 weeks of marriage, we though we'd get the same result. We didn't do any treatments though, just kept hoping and praying, and having our first Christmas with DS was truly an amazing experience!

We tried for 7 months and I use to think that was a long time, until I met some of you ladies and realized how lucky we were.
With my first daughter, I got pregnant the very first time I had sex with her father. I figured this time around it would be the same and I was wrong.
I get it. We watched our friends struggle and therefore I will never tell how many tries we needed. The hard part for us was detoxing from 13 years of birth control
I'm just glad we all have our babies.
I know exactly how lucky i am, i have seen my best friend battling infertility, and 3 miscarriages, one was at the same time i was pregnant and our due dates were 5 weeks apart. It breaks my heart and i wish i could share. I dont normally share how quick we concieved for that reason.
Thanks for being such a good friend to her.
I went off the pill in October and conceived in December. I feel so incredibly blessed. I have several friends and relatives who struggled with IF. A huge motivator to not delay TTC was my history of endo and being told I could have trouble and watching a friend with similar problems try for over a year. We felt so grateful when it only took a few months. I know secondary infertility is still a risk for us, especially if we put off having another for 3 or 4 years, which is our plan. Every single night while I sleepily nurse and rock L I pray for couples everywhere who are waiting for their miracles.
