a restaurant table. this lady was just changing her baby on a table. she used a changing pad i think but people have to eat there ... i don't know where hat pad has been.
Um, hopefully it was a disposable pad! Actually I might be less grossed out by no pad and just putting a diaper underneath than a dirty changing pad, ugh.

i wouldn't expect anyone to change a kid in the car this time of year but i don't think i could use the table ...
Oh I would or I would expect them to use the bathroom. Yup I live in Ma and it is freezing and I have done it. I can't imagine doing it where people eat ewwww
Besides the sanitary factor, how rude. I mean, there are paying customers that dont care to see, let alone smell, your kids nasty business.
Some parents just have not been "Nested". I should pass out Nest cards while I am out and about. It will have the web address and instructions on how to come to Parenting.
"Hey, LADY, yeah you, the one BF'ing her kid in public, heres a Nest card."
"Hey, YOU, omg, I cant believe you let your child watch a cartoon--- heres a Nest card."
"Holy crap, you just gave your kids HFCS, heeeeeres your card"
A very good friend of mine had to stop at a restaurant on the way home from the hospital from delivering her son because she was so hungry and she changed him on the table. She said a lady made a comment and my friend got mad saying I have to change him somewhere. Yuck! Go to the bathroom and she was sooo hungry she had to take her 2 day son to a restaurant before even taking him home for the first time!?
Um, that is very bad manners and disrespectful to the other people eating. I was recently at a restaurant and had to change DD. The bathroom did not have a changing table and it was too cold to change in the car so I changed her on my lap as I sat on the toliet (not going to the bathroom!) It was not ideal, but better than the restaurant table!!!!!
I have nursed at a restaurant table and have changed P on the seat of many restaurant tables.
I can't imagine anyone having a problem with a baby eating, bottle or breast, at a dinner table in a provate home or in public.
However...you changed your baby on the seat at a restaurant table? Why on earth would anyone do that? Don't all restaurants that are kid-friendly have a change table in the bathroom??? I don't know what I would do if my dinner companion did this but ewwwwwww.
Only when ds was tiny, tiny, tiny and because of dh's travels and at the time (ds and myself going with him), we stopped any many many restaurants. Not all of them were "kid friendly" or very clean, so I had to make do with what I had. Truefully, I don't even think anyone really even noticed.

PLEASE don't tell me you're one of those "How would YOU like to eat in a bathroom?" people who doesn't mind turning an entire restaurant into a bathroom...

Nope. I have nursed ds in the bathroom before. Hey, when you are on the road constantly, you do what you have to do. I'm very discreet with whatever I do.
How did this turn into a nursing post? I'm not bothered by nursing in public for the most part. A lady changed her baby on a table ... where people eat. That is gross. I can let it slide a bit more changing a baby on the seat b/c I can't see that and I don't have to eat there ... I mean, people sit on seats and I don't know where their asses have been.

LOL. It was real talent when I learned to change P on my lap. Oh, those were the days. :-)
