some one fill me in on vera bradley bags?

What is so special about them? I always see posters really excited they got one, but I guess I don't understand why they are so special?

    I have a VB messenger bag that I use as a purse and I love it.

    It's got more special compartments than any bag I've ever used so it's nice to be able to know where everything is- I don't lose my cell phone anywhere near as often as I used to.  It's incredibly durable, too- I've had it for over a year and it still looks brand new.

    I don't know the name brand? I like them and I think they are really nice, but I'm not into bags or purses so I would never get one for myself. I had a hard time finding diaper bags because I don't like carrying bags. So I just got a plain brown one from Carters.

    I used to hate them.  I lived in the Carolinas and EVERYONE had them.  I think they're very regional... they're made in Indiana and I've seen a lot more of them in the south and eastern midwest than I ever see in Texas. Eventually, I got used to them and a pattern popped up that I really liked.  It gradually sucked me in!  

    They're definitely not for everyone.  The prints are bold and very floral.  I kind of "got over them" once I moved here, but they are still a great quality.  MIL gave me this one for Christmas:

    Definitely a regional thing. Maybe Midwest? You never see them out here on the west coast but when I was living in Maryland, I think I was the only one without one. Not really my style.

    Vera Bradley --I have a Meditterean Blue backback purse as well as the diaper bag.  I got so many compliments on my Vera Bradley purses--it is unique with the patterns--Seriously, on Vera Bradley Facebook--they just revolve around the different patterns--the discussions are interesing.

     I think they were perfect for weddings--as a bridesmaid gift--you are trying to coordinate with the bridesmaid dress.

    Ugh. I don't like them at all.  Loads of people around me have them (in Ohio). I hope its just a regional thing. And it's not about the load colors or prints, I like loud colors. I just think they are ugly

    I agree with pp; they are NMS at all and look like something my MIL would carry, but to each her own!

    I had no idea this was a regional trend.

    Seriously, everyone in my area (NW 'burns of Chicago) has them- my high school students even have them, so they don't strike me as skewing towards old women.

    I personally am not into floral patterns and such, but I did find 2 patterns that I really like for the diaper bag. They are roomy enough and the compartments are great. Plus I can wash it. But, I only like the diaper bags and not as a normal purse. To each is their own :)
