How soon did you TTC and/or C after loss?

Hi all,

I recently suffered a loss at 20 weeks.  I am hoping to be posting regularly in "pregnant after a loss" soon!!  Congratulations to you all - you are my inspiration!!

I am wondering how soon you TTC after your loss?  Did anyone successfully conceive before having AF again?

Thanks so much for any advice and happy holidays!

    My Doctor suggested waiting 1 cycle. We did that and then I think 3 months later we were pregnant.

    I'm very sorry for your loss.  Our doctor said to wait at least 2 cycles, we ended up just trying after 1 cycle and ended up pg after 2 cycles.  Good luck!

    I'm so sorry for your loss.  My second m/c was a chemical pregnancy and we got pregnant with this baby the following month.  So far everything is perfect.

    My doctor suggested that we wait 2-3 cycles after my D&C. We started to TTC after the second cycle. I got PG after 6 cycles.

    I am one of the cautionary tales, I guess.  We conceived about 3weeks after the m/c (before AF) and miscarried AGAIN at 7 weeks.  Have 2 m/c's so close together was incredibly difficult.  Then we waited 1 cycle as advised and got a BFP on the 3rd cycle of trying.     I wish you well!

    We lost our boys at 23 weeks.  We got mixed answers.  My OB said 6 months.  My perinatologist said 3 and my RE said 2.  The peri said that OB's say 6 months, 3 for physical and 3 for mental reasons.  We went with the perinatologist and my RE's advice. 

    As for BFP, we need infertility treatments... but a little over 3 months after we lost the boys, we had a BFP. 

    IVF cycle 1-BPF!
    9/13/09-Twin boys born at 23 weeks due to Pprom.
    Ethan and Jacob-our beautiful angel babies lived for 11 minutes and 23 hours.
    Single embryo FET 12/2009-BFP! Blake born 8/2010 at 39 weeks after 36 hours of labor and an emergency c section < IVF 2- BPF! Due April 27th Our Story

    We were told to wait for 1 AF... and we did, and got pregnant on that first cycle.

    I'm so sorry for your loss.  We waited one cycle after the m/c and got pregnant on our 2nd cycle after that.
