Its not cold in our house for once.

Last year was the first winter we were here.  DH is a bit cheap and kept the thermostat at 55 and heated the downstairs with the wood stove, and the upstairs with space heaters. 

This year, with me being pregnant and all, Ive taken over the thermostat.  I have been keeping it at 66 and the heater hasnt been able to keep up.  Our ac/heat pump is 15 yrs old so we know its going to die at some point, but we're trying to stretch it out because we're getting dual zone when it does and thats going to be uber expensive.  Well, after the snow storm we werent paying enough attention to know that the fan had frozen in place.  We thought we busted the thing.  DH fixed that issue.  Then for some reason he decided to take a trip under the house.  Thats where he found the main line of duct work split open.  We;ve been heating the damn crawl space for who knows how long.  

Its so nice to wake up without numb toes!

    I am like your DH, I like to kep it relatively cool in the house because I would rather curl up in a big cosy duvet than turn the heat up. It really makes no sense.

    Oh my gosh that sucks that you were heating the crawl space! Glad you got it fixed though, I bet you'll notice a difference in your bills now haha :-)
