Barium swallow and breastfeeding?

I have to have an XRay and MRI in early January, and I am still planning to BF.

Anyone know anything about whether or not it can pass through?  Long term effects?  Tia!!

    I drank barium for a CT scan and it purposefully doesn't absorb into your body so BFing is fine.

    I had an MRI last month and took the Barium drink, the nurses made sure to look into it for me and were told it was safe for breastfeeding. I was supposed to have an IV of something as well, but that was not safe and we passed on it. BTW that Barium drink is nasty!
