On our first ultrasound the lady said she was 80% sure it was a boy but we will confirm on our 21 week ultrasound Jan 15th. I have always liked unique names and really like the following boy name but want everybody's honest opinion:
Trillion

Eh, while it is unique, its NMS. It just makes me think of million, billion, trillion.... but I admit, it does roll of the tongue nicely! If you like it though, go for it!
It's NMS, but more importantly, it's a number. Seems odd to name your child after a number.
I totally support coming up with something unique if you want, though. And honestly, even if you name your son Trillion, if you were my friend I'd laugh about it and roll my eyes for a few weeks, then totally forget he had a weird name.
My main problem is that it reminds me of Trillian, the girl from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and does not sound masculine at all due to that connotation.
Where did you find Trillion and what do you like about it? Just asking out of genuine curiosity, because it IS unique.
unique names don't mean you have to make up a name. I personally think that having a normal name like Sam is more unique these days instead of inventing one.
My brother brought it up and actually when I heard it I thought it was a very strong name haha and didn't know about this Trillian you talk about haha.
My nephew thought we could call him Tril for nickname and thought it was cute too.
But I do still worry what others will think.

I never thought of spelling it Trillian - than it isn't like the number - I just like how it sounds and like somebody said above it kinda rolls off your tongue.

I somewhat understand the need to feel like you're picking a unique name, but I always try to think about what it will be like for the kiddo when they are in school and then when they're an adult. Will they like that they were given such a unique name, or will they wish they were named Mike or Steve?

Ditto this. I can't imagine a CEO of a company with the name Trillion. It makes me laugh actually.
I usually don't like to tell people I dislike their baby names because it's your decision, but since you asked, I think it's awful. I'm all for unique, but for some reason this one just doesn't seem like a name to me.
Re: Unique boy name - honest feedback
In honor of Obama and his spending?
I don't like it.

It reminds me of a guy that worked at our resort in Jamaica who's name was Trillian, he was super cool. I kinda like it.

NMS = Not My Style
Not My Style.
That being said, I knew a girl who's middle name was Seven - it definitely made me do a double take - but not necessarily in a good way.

LOL, good ole Obama!!! Eh!
Trillion - not a huge fan. But, its your baby!!!

I thought of Hitchhiker's Guide, too, and thought it sounded feminine!
Also, not a fan of naming children after numbers. It's a little too unique for me.
