My mom gave me the gold-rimmed berry bowl set that has been in our family forever. My grandmother and I were actually both baptized in the largest of the bowls. She wrote a long letter detailing the history of the set. I just love it.
The first boxed set of James Bond. Hubs thought it up all on his own. I am a bit of a whore for Bond. Every year he gets me another one. I get the last set this year and am SO pumped.

it will be my kitchenaid mixer...that i get on friday!!!
or when i was 5 i got a 3 story Barbie house and it was my favorite toy when i was little!! it even had a working elevator!!
edit: i guess what my answer should have been was 2 years ago on Christmas morning I got my engagement ring lol so getting engaged was my best gift ever!!!
My mom was always the buyer and one year my dad got me this stone Elephant statue candle holder thing. (not as tacky as it sounds) I love Elephants so he spotted it and got it for me on his own.
It was really special to me that he bought it for me and I cherished it forever until DH broke it about 2 years ago when he was drunk.... that was the biggest fight we ever had.
My Wii. They weren't available in any stores, and DH apologized a million times for not being able to get me one. He even gave me a card that said it was good for a Wii whenever he could find one. The next present I opened was the Wii. It's the only time he's ever been able to surprise me with a present. I like the memory better than the Wii, actually.
From DH, one year he installed an automatic car starter in my car for Christmas without me knowing. It was a great gift since I hate getting in a cold, snowy car.
I haven't gotten this yet, but my dh made me an owl nesting box after he read that they will nest in suburban areas if given a box of the proper size etc. At least I am pretty sure that is what it is. I didn't go inspect it really close.
And no I wasn't snooping. I asked if I could go in the garage to fill my bird feeders and he said yeah and it was sitting right there. So I am pretending not to have seen it.
That and my engagement ring. Or my tin cup and shiny penny my mom put in my stocking years ago like from Little House on the Prarie.
Re: Poll: What is the best holiday gift you've ever gotten?
